Coaching Carousel 2026

They gonna tell him “you probably won’t get the HC gig, but if you jobless.. hit us up. We’ll find a position gig for you.”

we're gonna interview you for the HC job
but assuming you don't get it, do you wanna come and coach DL for us again and we'll slap an assistant head coach label on you to sweeten the deal?

Not the same of course, but it does remind me of the 2023 offseason pre-extension where he had to hear constant nonsense about Lamar not wanting to play the playoff game, worrying more about a contract, etc.
We are going to hear more dirty laundry coming. I'm happy Harbaugh is gone. Not running Henry in the 4th quarter of the Patriots game was
a complete fireable offense.

Giants have always made the most sense to me. They have a pass rusher and they have a good RB and a good QB. Harbaugh can turn them around imho. Outside of him choosing romance and going with his childhood team in the Browns, I see no real great second option at this present moment. I do think maybe Harbaugh is waiting to see the other openings before he decides knowing if a team like NYG really wants him they will wait. Harbaugh is also very familiar with that division so it really does fit for him
The more I think about it, Atlanta might be the best fit for Harbaugh given the similarities between the two offensively and it matches up to what Harbaugh did here.

They would have to figure out the QB but outside of that, you got Bijon Robinson & Tyler Allgeier at RB. That gives Harbs a easy run first approach style of play we saw here. Our offenses favored the Tight Ends more, and they got Kyle Pitts and perhaps Likely joins him in free agency as the second TE. If he brings Monken with him, it's an easy transition.

I’m think Tampa Bay may be his best fit. Weak division, QB he respects, weapons on both sides of the ball and his daughter plays for USF which is located in Tampa

You are correct.

I think the issue I see in Atlanta is how much he believes in their QB room and other parts of the team. I guess to your point, Harbaugh could pound the table for Joe Flacco in Atlanta.

Anthony Weaver seems like a legit candidate for the ravens head coaching job. He's speaks really well and gives off great leadership vibes. The ravens had him participate in their hiring process before they eventually hired Todd Monken. Think he's a legit leader of men and fits what the ravens are as a organization

he could always round up the troops and bring in Greg Roman

Yeah most definitely. We will see what happen.

I also heard today Tomlin could part with the Steelers. Part of me wonders if it’s because John left so he could keep his title of longest tenured coach
I don't see Pittsburgh winning against Houston. I can see Pittsburgh moving on from Tomlin if Rodgers retires or goes elsewhere as it can be a fresh start for Pittsburgh all around.

Similar to Harbaugh in the fact that Tomlin will become a hot name immediately, teams with a Head Coach that are interested in Harbaugh, a team with a current Head Coach may jump to get Mike Tomlin.

Weaver is obviously a good character and his Miami Defense did show some good signs particularly in his first year there. Was not good this year but the personnel is putrid.

Don't want him as head coach though.
I think Weaver did a good job with Miami's defense, given the lack of talent. I wish we'd appointed him as DC when Mike left.

As far as the DC candidates go, if we're picking from the Mike Mac tree, we've no idea whether he'd be better as a HC than Minter or not. Harbaugh used to say he was a future head coach, so maybe?

I wish we didn't need to hear them briefing against each other. Harbaugh already has interest from every single team with a vacancy. Does he really need to get his 'not my fault' narrative out there so badly?

Been reported 3 teams with head coaches in place have reached out. They could be one
At least one is Miami as the word is ownership loves Harbaugh. I believe Miami tried getting Jim before he ultimately chose the Chargers too. Tampa I could see and maybe the Jets if they really want to move on from Aaron Glenn.

Apparently not TB

You got Schefter and Rap Sheet going back & fourth lol. Rap Sheet said players wanted Harbaugh gone while Schefter said players were crying, hugging him and saying their goodbyes in his office lol.

ravens first round of interviews is going to be virtual so, at this stage, none of the candidates will be satisfying rooney rule requirements anyway

it must be 2 in-person interviews with external minority candidates/women

so an interview with chris horton or zach orr (not that i think they would) wouldnt satisfy the rule
