The “It’s Over”, the Offense, and the Turnovers

I think they’re going to have to fire Harbaugh if they miss the playoffs. I don’t think Steve has a choice if we miss the post season.

I think this will at the very least the closest he'll get to being let go as he's gotten in years. I'd lean towards it being more likely than not, should we miss the postseason.

Honestly? Lamar Jackson and the offense. The defense is doing well honestly. Special Teams has even improved. The real issue is our offense and that’s a major issue because you cannot win if you don’t have a capable offense. Lamar and most of these offensive players are disconnected somehow. Truly to me it seems they’re in their own heads. They think too much about making a play they aren’t. We won’t do anything if our offense doesn’t wake up. Monken is also extremely spotty
Whole heartedly agree, and it’s been nose diving bad since the second game after the bye, which makes zero sense. I mentioned this a few times here recently and got roasted. lol Undeniably self evident now, and will be hard to fix. Hopefully it happens over this mini bye, or it’ll be a pretty brutal few weeks.

Uh no... also Josh McDaniels is the current OC in New England. I'm not interested in either of them.
??? You’ve been spamming Belicheck comments all season lol

I’m not sure. Truth be told, I kind of would like to move on from John but I’m not sure even missing the postseason will do it. I think there’s a lot of variables there.

1. What changes this year compared to years’ past?
2. Insane parity league wide where elite teams previously aren’t so elite
3. Is this year an outlier or progression
4. Do we just need to move on from Monken?

I think these answers are all things Steve knows so these are more our questions than his, but I feel these answers will decide the fate of Harbaugh. Since our ST and DEF have both somewhat rebounded and have honestly played well, I could very well see the answer be to move on from Monken

People aren't going to want to hear it, but the right side of the line had a good game. Other than the first Lamar fumble where Rosengarten and Faalele clearly got their wires crossed, it was a good effort overall.

Curious to see how Emery Jones progresses. It wasn't a lot of snaps, but it was definitely a mixed bag. Some very promising things and some moments where he looked like it was his first game. I'd keep rotating him in because the upside is clearly higher than the alternative, but don't expect it to be pretty all the time.

Also, a healthy Travis Jones is such a difference maker. I don't say this to take away from John Jenkins because he's played some good ball as well, but Jones really seems like he opens things up for him to make plays. Would be curious if Okoye and Peebles could pop a little more paired with Jones. They seem very committed to pairings on the DL and you don't see a lot of variance, but it really feels like there's an opportunity to get some other guys going if they mixed it up a bit.

I'm sorry but I called this from a mile away. We were extremely lucky to have that winning stretch that we did because we were playing like legitimate trash in all the games.

This might be the worst Ravens team in Lamar’s tenure. Yes the OL is bad. Yes there's no pass rush but the team as a whole is not a cohesive unit. This is not a well oiled machine. It just simply doesn't function well altogether.

Been this way for weeks and will continue to be this way.
Worse than 2021? How we started that season 8-3 is beyond me. Gladly take Henry over any of those RBs that year. Running game was damn near absent sans Lamar. Defensively, we were really giving it up like a cheap hooker..

People are going to harp on Lamar a lot, and he didn't play well, but he wasn't alone in sinking the offense.

RR and DF get manhandled on the sack that caused the fumble.

Likely fumbles the ball out of the back of the end zone, ending a possession and netting no points.

Likely gets absolutely rolled on Lamar's interception and allows the tip to happen as Lamar tried to get it out.

Walker pulls up because he fails to track a deep ball that he could walk in with.

Walker fails to make a tough catch deep for six.

Flowers pushes off and the Ravens eventually walk away with zero points rather than a touchdown.

Flowers fumbles the ball.

I'm not excusing that Lamar made some bad throws because he did. He generally looked off and I'd have to think maybe lower body injuries have messed up his mechanics some? I don't know.

But, my point is people will rail Lamar hard, but Lamar still made several plays that should have resulted in six and put the Ravens in a position to win and the offense crumbled around him.

Yes, Lamar was a problem, but he was not the only one.

Also, I've had this thought for a long while now, but are Likely and Bateman really all that or are they beneficiaries of playing Lamar's backyard football? They clearly work really well in tandem with Lamar when he scrambles around and can buy time, but they have been invisible with the offense operating more in structure.
