2018 Free Agency

So his best ever was 12?? Your comparing his best to Marqise’s worst?? With an even worse QB. I won’t even look it up and go out on a limb with a guess. And his college QB was a gunslinging risk taker. A poster boy risk taker. And I would bet his college career for most part similar to the nfl. Landry looks slow to me. You think checkdown joe is gonna help him average over 12 yards per??
Anquan Boldin was slow.

@Truth please speak on these YPR numbers for lee
Lee’s career average ypc is 12.7. @Sledge Hammer there are these things called facts bud. Might want to do some research next time.

Lee averages around a mediocre 50-55% catch rate. Landry averages around 70%.

Lee has 8 fucking career touchdowns.

I’ll take Landry every day of the week over Lee.

Also if you think Bortles played worse than Cutler this year, you really need to stop living in this fantasy world of yours.

Quit spewing out statements without even fact checking them.

You know what's the most appealing about s guy like Landry to me? He plays with a comfort level that we have only seen from guys like sss and mason and boldin. It goes unmentioned, guys like Perriman, Wallace, Torrey, maclin, jacoby, Moore, etc. all look very tentative and unsure of anything they're doing, like they have to make a conscious effort to do the right thing, while for a guy like Landry, executing at the wr position is second nature to him, there's no thinking in his game, just doing, and it's very evident. He's got that innate feel for the wr position. It's not quantifiable but it's very noticeable on tape. The confidence he has in himself to go snag the ball when he knows he's gonna take a nice shot, like he doesn give a shit he just wants that ball, the way he turns upfield after the catch, like he just plays like he owns the goddamn place. It's such an under-discussed part of a WRs game, but perhaps one of the most important.

Not surprised!! Catching checkdowns is one of the easiest things to do in all of the nfl. Any receiver should look comfy catching a glorified hand off. What’s did Landry average in college with mettenberger?? A risk taking gun slinger. And the idea joe is the QB to help him snag bigger plays?? That’s a very expensive replacement for the 2016 version pitta.

It’s a shame Landry isn’t a little faster and lacks the top end athleticism. He’d be an absolute nightmare. But I guess the same thing can be said about Boldin etc

Once again, spewing factless statements. Landry averaged 15.5 ypc his senior year big guy. About 13.5 over his 3 years. I’m so sorry he doesn’t have your quick twitch bull shit. Not all WRs need it.

I don’t need to look it up. I have my geeky lil friends here to do that for me.lol But once again if u wanna compare Cutler to Bortles fine. Compare Rosie O’Donnell to Samantha Bee. Both are fat. But again 12.5 to 8.8!! 12.5 is nothing to brag about!! But compared to 8.8??

It’s obvious you didn’t watch any dolphins games this year so I’m done arguing. Jay Cutler couldn’t hit the freaking water if he fell out of a boat. The best QB Landry has ever played with was Tannehill two years ago. If Landry played on almost any other team this year he without a doubt would’ve been over 12 ypc. Keep riding your boy Lee who can’t score more than 3 touchdowns in an entire season.

I agree totally. Boldin his first couple yrs b4 getting banged up was actuallly pretty explosive and made his share big plays. I think DJ Moore could be that explosive ultra athletic Boldin. Jarvis is actually very athletic. Yet not explosive

Im definitely excited to see what DJ Moore can do when he gets a competent QB

Difference is Lee shared spotlight with some damn good receivers dude. I mean jags could let Marqise and Robinson walk and be totally fine!! That is freaky. Cole Westbrook and Hurns are more than capable.

They have had some good finds at WR lately. But going back to your last post, I disagree that Jarvis is “very athletic”. He’s the definition of average athleticism. Definitely one of the lesser athletic receivers in the game. What makes him so good is that he’s able to make up for his lacking athleticism. He’s a damn technician with incredible hands and hes got that dog mentality.

Honestly Landrys hands alone should make everyone on this board want him on our team.

lol, Dude I’m referring to the awkward athletic angles he contorts his body to make some of those catches. Landry is very athletic and agile. He can make tacklers miss. But he isn’t explosive. He can’t turn on the jets and pull away like Marqise can. And he can’t get high into the stratosphere for a catch but he has some bounce to him for sure. And can get in some awkward angles and make the catch look routine. He was considered to maybe go b4 Beckham in the draft once upon a time. However he was listed at 6’1 210 athletic with great hands and ball skills. With enough juice to create separation.

However for that style being a lil undersized doesn’t get scouts and GMs hormones in an uproar. Then when he tested pretty bad his stock did a Fanny Mae. If he was 6’1 215 as advertised at LSU And tested at the combine a lil better like on par with his pro day. Like in the 4.50-4.55 range He woulda been a top20 pick.

Lee is another oft-injured, inconsistent WR. We’ve had enough of those.

Someone on the Dolphins forum said we offered our 2nd and 3rd in 2018 and 3rd in 2019 for Landry, but Miami is wanting a first. Of course that poster ended up providing no proof of it.

Yeah, that's a BS. They're not getting a 1st or two day 2 picks. Plus Baltimore would never offer that much.

Yeah, no way that happened lol. One, because Ozzie isn’t that stupid. Two, because the Dolphins would never turn that down.
