We need to stop drafting LOSERS. We need to start drafting people with these minor problems. Then maybe move them to strong safety when they fail as a WRyup, guy has off the field issues out the wazzoo
If he isn't an alpha male I don't want him.We need to stop drafting LOSERS. We need to start drafting people with these minor problems. Then maybe move them to strong safety when they fail as a WR
Honestly thank you. Feels good to not be alone on this. Its why I won’t even look at RSR. The boards over there are just people wallowing in their discontent. Fuck that shit.
Well, we will se how he times. Im interested mostly in his 40 time because that will refelct on his acceleration. Apparently he has a 37 inch vert which usually tramslates to explosivenessTorrey did look fast, he had near instant acceleration, James washingtons top speed is serviceable, but it's the buildup time that is a problem, he can't shift into second gear in one step like Torrey and needs to ramp up the speed. He certainly is crafty in his deep routes though, something I didn't catch the first time around, he sets himself up very well to be in the right position to make a catch
40 times are a bad indicator of acceleration, watching the 40 can show it but the time itself doesn't. Jeremy Langford had the best 40 time in his whole class but he didn't have very good acceleration at all.Well, we will se how he times. Well John Ross was pretty indicative. He had a bluring 40 and that kept on the field where he was invisible.40 times are a bad indicator of acceleration, watching the 40 can show it but the time itself doesn't. Yeah I stopped looking at 40 times and have to use the eye test on burst on cuts on routes. I feel like route running gains more separation than straight line speed.Well John Ross was pretty indicative. He had a bluring 40 and that kept on the field where he was invisible.
Lol saying it's a bad indicator doesn't mean that anyone with a fast 40 time is slow to accelerate.Well John Ross was pretty indicative. He had a bluring 40 and that kept on the field where he was invisible.

I’m a much bigger proponent of route running than 40 time. For one thing, they won’t have as big an adjustment to the NFL. Players also lose speed when they get older. If these speedsters haven’t learned how to run a route they won’t be useful anymore, whereas a route runner will be much more useful.Yeah I stopped looking at 40 times and have to use the eye test on burst on cuts on routes. I'm with you. He is very good and of all the receivers probably best fit for us (apart from Ridley, who is a good fit on any team).I still think James Washington is vastly underrated here. Watching his tape prior to his senior year you can tell he has some serious speed. He has an extra gear where he pulls away from defenders
What makes Ridley any better a universal fit than Anthony miller?I'm with you. He is very good and of all the receivers probably best fit for us (apart from Ridley, who is a good fit on any team).
Don't get me wrong, I like Miller heaps but I think he's a slot receiver in pros. What makes Ridley any better a universal fit than Anthony miller?
Why though? I just don't see that. Is it because he's, what... 3 inches shorter?Don't get me wrong, I like Miller heaps but I think he's a slot receiver in pros.
He isn't that much shorter but the combination of his frame/size and the fact that he's not the fastest guy makes me have a pause. Now, he compensates for both with some good route running and jump ability but I'm just not sure whether what was enough in AAC is going to be enough in pros. Why though? I just don't see that. His frame isn't tiny, he's a pretty stout 5'11" wr, and he plays incredibly explosive, not sure where the size and speed talk is coming from. And I'd say his route running and above all things his ability to attack the everloving fuck out of the ball when he's catching it, pretty much means he's gonna be able to do the same at any level. He isn't that much shorter but the combination of his frame/size and the fact that he's not the fastest guy makes me have a pause.
