Coaching Carousel 2026

By the way, for my friend @rossihunter2 , I still don't like the basic 4-3 defense, but MacDonald used it today, and how!
That front four was absolutely dominant, and as you rightly said, Sam's Emmanwori was a key part of the defense.
It would be interesting if someone who really knows their stuff could compare the Ravens' and Hawks' defenses and how they used Hamilton and Emmanwori

Yep.. it surprised no one that they drafted him neither. Emmanwori is a dog man.

Don't know about a HC wearing Capri pants, tho.

Time for an upgrade

I wish I could say this upsets me but it really doesn’t. I like Stefanski and I think he’s better than the Browns but his offense never really took off there. He was always kind of weird where they were competitive but it was always on the defensive side of the ball. They did have some good OL for a bit and some decent RBs.

schematically i didnt love the fit with lamar
wouldnt have hated him as the HC here but he definitely wasnt in my top 3

Psh. If they give Weaver the job, I’m doubting this leadership group. They might as well have let Harbs run it back with a new coaching staff. If you truly want the rah rah type of coach then you should go with Saleh, he at least brings you some X and O advantages. However, I don’t think he’s the best option for our defensive talent and structure. If I’m choosing out of the top defensive minds it’s Minter and then Saleh knowing that we have to make adjustments to the way we draft and play ball on the defensive side.

Yup. I see it the same way. He’s not going to pretend to be Vrabel or Mcvay or whoever else you see as an X and O “leadership” type. He’s going to be true to himself and demand you execute accordingly.

Yup. I agree

my personal opinion is that winning does more for a professional sports culture than speeches

doesnt matter how charismatic you are if you're losing all the time

so it's about honesty, good communication and ultimately "winning"

So because josh allen was up there crying, media gonna show him mercy for having 4 turnovers and losing huh?

when does his playoff form get reexamined for winning mostly random wildcard matchups
he's only won 1 road playoff game and lost twice in the AFC Championship

he's clearly unclutch and not fully invested in his team - gave up on his team in a big spot obviously - bills should think about moving on from him

am i doing this right?

Nah mate, he doesn't have all pro bowlers around him like Lamar, not his fault.

I think the 3 main candidates are Kubiak, McDaniel, and Minter. Possibly Flores in the back of their mind, but it's obviously a scheme guy, whichever side. I know the urge might be to go offense, and I get it, but look at what's won championships lately. We need a defense that can pressure and case TOs. I want the best for the offense, but we've seen for the most part Lamar will be Lamar.
Fixing the OL solves many of our problems. Grab a defensive genius and get the best offensive staff you can find.

Would love if we could have McDaniel as OC for a season or 2 before he gets another HC gig. Technically, for being a defensive team we've never had a defensive HC. Maybe we get the same outcome like with Billick lol. Go one direction and they provide one of the best on the opposite side they coach.

They're already lining excuses for the media darling.

Consecutive years, ball in his hand, needing a drive to win after defense does their job. What has he done? Has he even made it past midfield?

Thats the moment he lost me
I don't think fans realize that moment was when the ravens accomplished having a AFC Championship game for the first time ever in Baltimore. That was a huge accomplishment for the franchise.Of course it sucks it didn't lead to a super bowl afterwards but hey it is what it is.
