The Refs, the Special Teams, and the Mistakes

Pass rush has been terrible since macdonald left. We got sacks with a bunch of guys who arent even good pass rushers but nobody wanted to believe it was his scheme that helped us. We have way too talented of a defense to be this ass. Watching texans last night, them boys are dogs frfr lol. That shit is scary how well they play together
The Texans, partially by way of sucking ass for so long, also have made massive investments in the defensive side of the ball (both in terms of draft picks and FA $) and have made very few investments in anything on offense. They still can't run the ball and their Oline is hot fucking garbage. If you put the Ravens Oline in that team, they'd be near undefeated.

They're obviously a great defense, but that defense in particular has the benefit of having a lot of top 10-15 draft picks on it. And there's only really one way to get top 10-15 draft picks over a significant period of time...

Baldinger showed a play where Lamar was CLEARLY throwing to Hopkins in the back of the end zone for an easy TD and Andrews dove in the way and tipped the ball. Infuriating.

Just read where Harbaugh had a conversation with refs. Refs say they got Travis Jone penalty wrong. That's 4 points there plus missed extra point. Reverse that and tie game. Of course the BS refs are still sta ding firm on the dogshit call on Likely!

If you put our oline on their team, they would in fact have less rush yards than they currently have and cj stroud would still be injured.. also, they only had like 2 first rnds in the past 5yrs and grabbed stingley and will anderson while we picked up, odefe, nate, queen, green, kyle and starks so them picking top 10-15 isnt really an excuse when comparing to us cause we picked 6 defenders in the first rnd in 5yrs while they only picked 2. Theyre simply better or atleast better coached

Yea i saw that live.. not really andrews fault on that one. What if he didnt go for the ball and dhop wasnt behind him

Hyperbole with the line, their O line dominated us. Our line is horrible

I’m still way more mad at Bateman dropping that pass. He fucking sucks and we need to stop acting like he’s a legitimate target for Lamar. 1st round WR

Lamar sucks in the playoffs. I wish him well, but we need to move on.
It's hard to win a Championship. Lamar isn't Mahomes, but he's been plenty good enough to win a championship with some seasoning. If he has a team around him, he could win a championship. From here, rooting until the end of the season seems a good idea. We can still make the playoffs and if we do the results this year are indicating anything could happen. The Chiefs are down, the Bills have been life and death to win games. The AFC favorite may be the Patriots. Lets see what Harbaugh and the boys cook up for that game. Lets get Lamar Jackson in the hot tub and hope he returns to form in the coming weeks. If things don't go as we anticipate we can pick this up.

They have three quality DBs that were drafted in the top 42 picks in the last four drafts, and they have two all-world pass rushers. One they drafted, one they bought.
And yes, they're better coached defensively. Ryan is one of the better DCs in the league.

where did they pick their guys?
Stingley and Anderson are both top 3 picks, the highest drafted guy in that group of ravens is Hamilton who was picked 14th...

Ravens in their history have never drafted in the top 3 ever...

and the reason the texans only have 2 defensive first round picks the last 5 years is partly because they've only had 3 total first round picks the last 5 years... (all of which were top 3 picks by the way)

ravens have drafted 8 first round picks in the last 5 years, 5 of which were defensive guys (so only 1 away from being 50/50 offence-defence)

Oh this, this all day. The Chiefs, Ravens and Eagles didn't just forget how to play football or build a roster. They are facing the consequences of picking low year after year in a league that long ago caught up and scoops all the major LOS talent in the top 15. None of these teams are winning at the LOS and that's why they aren't contenders.

Exactly.

If you wanna be strong in the trenches, you gotta suck for years and commit to the trenches while you suck.

We have been punished for our excellence just like the league is designed to do.

Harbaugh still sucks.
