Next Up: Bye Week

You are the one advocating basically moving from players who have been there through this run which includes Lamar.
What? I’m advocating for moving from the common denominator which is Harbaugh

Arizona is 2-4... trade us Calais you cowards! Also anyone with a good guard available? You can have Vorhees or Faalele in return.

Not wanting to publicly commit to changes right after the game, with the bye incoming to re-evaluate everything. Understandable. The tidbit about being surprised why the question is being asked. Infuriating. It cannot feasibly catch you off guard considering the product put out for most of the season. Making the question sound less reasonable than considering any changes just makes the team look like they lack self-awareness.

So I'm thinking the front office is thinking the same thing we are. The schedule softens, if Lamar is healthy we can make a run. I just really wonder how are we going to fill the holes we have currently. I don't see us giving up premium draft picks to do it.

Guess we'll know tomorrow if any news breaks and what happens.

Would love to see us trade for Jaelan Phillips. He looks like he's rounding into form and would be worth either renting or paying long-term. The Dolphins will be cash strapped again next season, so perhaps this is a viable move for both sides.

The Cheifs are the best team aren’t they. Damn. Maybe the Bucs can beat them in the Super Bowl again
You can’t buy into early season records when it comes to the chiefs, every single season you can just assume the chiefs are gonna make it to the Super Bowl, and more often than not you’d be right, no matter how tough the afc might be that year.

If it comes down to them or the Bills or Broncos i want the Chiefs

I think the only way you're going to see changes is if Bisciotti calls in and says we need to shake it up.

Orr's seat is hot and that's no surprise. I'm not saying Harbaugh isn't playing coy with the media and that he won't be fired either this week or sometime in the future, but it sounds like they believe the injuries have greatly impacted what he's been able to do. I'm not saying I agree with that assessment... just relaying what I've been told.

But internally, it sounds like they want to keep up with who they've got for now because the do genuinely believe they could go on a run post-bye and firing staff usually doesn't help that get better. The tune may shift if we struggle coming out of the bye with a healthy team though.
I agree with their assessment. Though I think you have to win against CHI and MIA. A loss to either is the end of the season.

AND, I also think you have to 6-6 by the time you play PIT on 12/7. That means winning 5 of your next 6.

If you don't do that, I think they're 100% missing the playoffs, and I think you'll have an entirely new coaching staff next year. A loss to CHI or MIA will end up getting a coordinator fired (likely Orr).

This is both how I see it and also what I'm hearing. You can fire whoever you want but it'd all be for show currently. They think the best shot they have at winning these upcoming games is by not making massive changes that put them further behind where they already are. They're getting healthier and showing signs of life on defense. See if you can play off of that. If you revert back, the move everyone wants them to make today is still going to be available to make in 2 weeks.

Edit: And I'll maintain that this still doesn't mean something won't happen. It just seems like it would come from higher up than Harbaugh if it does. Internally, the coaching staff wants to stick this out.

Sara Ellison and Bobby are giving snoop way too much credit. Just because Rush is awful doesn’t mean Huntley isn’t either. I’d rather watch Rush. Fuck idk, they’re both so bad, damn it. Rush is such a let down, I didn’t realize Lamar carried this much, I thought there were decent enough weapons for Rush to at least put up 17-20 a game.

I think Rush is probably fine on a bunch of other teams in the league. The fit here was always questionable and it looks like that's rearing it's head now unfortunately. Looks like a mistake you're just going to have to write off at some point.

I just don’t think Huntley is any better, we’re screwed without Lamar
