2018 Secondary

If you're talking moving up 5 spots no way in hell am I giving up a 2nd and a future 1st. Only the 2nd. At the top of the round going for a sure bonafide stud then maybe but in the middle of the 1st............. and what if we stink up the joint like the Atl Falcons did when we got their future 1st which netted us Jamal Lewis.
Exactly my point.

When a Blue Chip player is on the board, someone special who’s going to be a real playmaker for our team, I am one that is all for giving up a second or third to bring him on our team. I always was one for quality over quantity, but that is just my opinion.
And what would we be doing with our left tackle at this point. Stanley will most likely be a top 5 left tackle. He’s got serious talent to be performing this well this early in his career. No doubt Ramsey is great, but who’s to say we weren’t trading up for Elliott and not Ramsey.

That's a good point, even though I'm very confident we would have picked Ramsey, I think Bosa is a guy who easily could have been a guy we wanted here badly but San Diego picked him, I feel like if San Diego had passed him, we would have made a play for Bosa.

Bosa was my top choice, Ramsey was my 2nd choice. I was also down with either Tunsil or Stanley ams figured Stanley would be the better run blocker at least from the get go due to Stanley playing in a pro style offense. I wasn’t surprised at all that he played really well last year.

Wasn’t it revealed that that was who we were potentially trading up for?

In the same way that it sounded like we tried to trade for haason reddick this year (which I’m glad didn’t happen tbh)

I’m not sure if it was a “for sure trade up for Ramsey”. I could be wrong. I loved Hassan Reddick and feel he will be a terrific player, but I also feel that with Bowser and yes, I agree, I’m glad we didn’t trade up.

im not the 1 who wanted to move up this past draft.

did wanted ramsey or elliot over stanley though.

I realized that I was not real clear with my thoughts in the post you quoted so I tried to clarify two posts under the one you quoted that I am very happy with the first round picks the past two years. I was a big fan of Ozzie’s pick of Stanley and Humphrey. It was the later picks that I was not feeling and the first round picks in the years prior that I wasn’t feeling. Sorry if I confused you into thinking I wished we traded up for Ramsey. I believed that Stanley was better than Tunsil in pass protection and I preferred that over his run blocking which I thought was pretty decent. I definitely believed Stanley was an upgrade over Tunsil. I believe Humphrey is going to Jimmy Smith 2.0 in a season or two and loved the way he played at Alabama. I was a fan of his when Ozzie took him and could not understand what all the negativity was about on draft day.

I hear ya. That 2016 class could be a transcendent class even with Correa. Still giving Kaufusi a chance. I’m really happy with the 2017 class as well. 2015 class could end up being a real dud in the end to say the least. Right now all we have from that class is Carl Davis, ZDS and Boyle. I’d like to have one of Perriman or max hit and become a starter, if not both of them. Next year we will know for sure, but doubt is setting in.

If I recall correctly, to move up in the 2016 draft year, cowboys wanted our 3rd. We offered a 4th and stood by it. Cowboys end up with zeke, jags got Ramsey, and we picked Stanley (which I'm fine with, Stanley future is bright)

Last year, jeff zrebiec revealed we did Try to trade up, but not for hasson. We was trying to get lattimore.

Let's hope Humphrey pans out and get his head turn around quicker. His only weakness.

Sometimes you gotta give up a 3rd ozzie. Thats all dallas wanted

Sometimes you gotta give up a 2nd

taking into account who we have drafted in those rounds recently...basicaly just JAGs and bums

it's pretty annoying. We could, if we really wanted to, got Ramsey and Lattimore.

Don't worry sami, Ozzie is going to learn from his mistakes and go aggressive next draft. The Baltimore Ravens have traded their 2017 1st and 2nd round + 2018 1st round picks.
The Baltimore ravens selects...
saquon barkley, running back, penn state.

/end dream

If the Ravens trade 2 1st round picks to get a RB, I don't think Ozzie makes it to the end of the draft because they would send him home for drafting under the influence.

Opening game of the Ravens season, Barkley runs a 70yrd TD run, plants his foot wrong while jumping into the endzone, and tears his MCL and ACL, out for the year. Story of the Ravens luck

he also injures ronnie stanley who comes to celerbrate with him as his foot lands on stanleys ankle and tears his ligaments.

we cant have nice things

If the falcons did it for Julio, why can't we? And with Mr. Joe "checkdown" flacco, I think a game changing running back is more valuable to this team than a game changing WR

Also because 2 of those picks were used on Humphrey and Bowser. :p

Unless we get a new offensive coordinator that can actually scheme properly it would just be a waste to trade up for a WR.

Bowser is really just a bigger and slightly less athletic reddick. They played essentially the same game in college
