Mike Pence's "protest" cost taxpayers $200,000 at least. The players' protest didn't cost jack shit. Any take on that?

http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slat..._cost_taxpayers_hundreds_of_thousands_of.html

Moreover, the player protest is for a valid cause. Pence's stunt (it was not a protest, it was a stunt) was just fanning the flames of the culture war to drive ratings. There's a difference.

First of all that cost is too much and it still would have costed the same if he would have stayed for the game. Actually we probally saved money on concessions. Also I blame the players for kneeling.

Ratings??

No I don't know what you're talking about. So please clarify.
You boasted that christians don't have misogyny as if they are completely above it. I just gave you a pretty clear example of Christians committing misogyny. This is 2+2 stuff here.

Yes, ratings. Trump is treating his presidency like a reality TV show, complete with plot arcs, midseason finales, and all the rest. "Ratings" is metaphorical. He's not actually getting ratings -- unless you count his record breaking disapproval rating -- but he's operating his office like a TV show. "What kind of petty drama can I create today to stay in the news and on the front page?"

Actually you're making no points. It's a private school that ran out of money. Are you saying cuz they closed a school down that's misogyny? What about the other Catholic schools that have closed down?

Well if that's what you want to believe lol.

Smh, Priests raped students there. That's misogyny. Christians committed misogyny.

You give me a Huffpo article. Seriously that's laughable and I believe those are bullshit tweets. Here I thought you was gonna show me quotes from the bible lol. I mean if you want to compare how Christians treat their women compared to Muslims lets do it. First they're allowed to have a job, drive a car and go as they please. They're allowed to dress as they want, worship as they want and they're allowed to tell their husband no. I can go on and on and on. If a woman chooses to live in submission that's her choice not the law. Women under Christianity have a voice. Muslim not so much.

OK the 10 min vid you're talking about I heard Allahu Akbar repeated over and over several times and the people looked Muslim to me. Just saying........ and no the Rotherdam situation was not lightning in a bottle (and it was also 20 yrs not 30) there has been a major increase in forcible rape especially in Germany and Sweden. I guess when you watched the 60 minutes video I guess you just yawned when they were harrassing a girl cuz her skirt was too short or when they was yelling at the gay guys to get out of their "community". So in other words you're telling me there is no strictly Muslim areas in your cities. They're multicultural. OK

i didnt want you to read the article just the tweets - i find it funny that you dont believe people when they say things though...

im not a christian but here's some bible quotes then:

“A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.” (1 Timothy 2:11-14)

1 Corinthians 11:3, " But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ."

1 Corinthians 11:9, "for indeed man was not created for the woman’s sake, but woman for the man’s sake."

1 Corinthians 14:34, "Let the women keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but let them subject themselves, just as the Law also says."

Colossians 3:18, "Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord."

1 Peter 3:7, "You husbands likewise, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with a weaker vessel, since she is a woman; and grant her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered."

Revelation 14:4, "These are the ones who have not been defiled with women, for they have kept themselves chaste. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb."

Exodus 21:7-8:And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do.

Genesis 3:16:Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Leviticus 19:20:And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

also slightly off topic but why is God a man?

the fact that you have to say women are "allowed" to do anything by christianity is inherently patriarchal but heyho - what's the difference then between those christian women who can drive cars, have jobs and wear and do what they want and those muslim women who can drive cars, have jobs and wear and do what they want - all im seeing here is the standard for both muslims and christians - nothing you mentioned differs - the only place where it rings true is with random extremist elements... pretty sure mormons have standards of dress, pretty sure women arent supposed to cover their heads in church, pretty sure technically no christians are allowed to wear clothes made from 2 different types of fabric... i only say this because you are grossly generalising using a small minority that you've heard about and extrapolating extremist views onto all muslims

here's another video from the same march:
- i dont know why there being muslims there has any bearing on whether there are no go zones given that this was a multicultural protest - muslims of course were part of the protest given that palestine is a muslim country but you'll also notice other ethnicities and faiths of people involved in the free palestine march - the phrase allahu akbar is also not an aggressive or offensive term although it is hijacked by extremists - it literally only means Allah is greater - which is a reminder that no matter the turmoil in life there is something more important - God...

im not even going to respond to your rotherham comments because you didnt make any valid response - an increase in rapes has no statistical significance with regards to Islam being a bad influence... and why would my defence of islam as a religion make me indifferent to the suffering of people - i sympathise with anyone victimised by sexual crime and abhor the existence of sexual crime but while i will condemn the attackers i will not condemn a religion in the same way i will not condemn all christians for the IRA bombs in Brighton in the 1980s or all Jews for atrocities in the gaza strip - i actually find it offensive that you think so little of my character

and of course there are muslim communities in the UK which i readily accepted in my previous post - what i resent is the idea that they might be no-go areas or that their being mostly muslim areas would prevent me from going there...

your generalisations are like me akin to saying there are christian no-go-zones where non-christians in the US are unable to go because westboro baptist church exists - its a similar idea...

tbh it just sounds to me like you are terrified of the unknown and muslims are the unknown thing that your fear has been directed towards for no apparent reason

Well if that's what you want to believe lol.
Asked about military action against North Korea, Trump says it's the "calm before the storm" and tells reporters to "wait and see."

Reminds me of watching TV as a kid and hearing "Find out next week on the next episode of Dragon Ball Z."

Seriously. He's dramatizing MILITARY ACTION against NORTH KOREA for entertainment value. You don't see this?

This was planned for him to go to the game well before Trump chastised the players for not standing for the flag. Now you guys are pissed off cuz he walked out. What he cant protest too?

Now be honest what do you think about Jerry Jones.
I'm not mad that he walked out. I'm laughing at the picture being old and him using it.

This has an entire publicity stunt feel to it. Players had been kneeling for several weeks now. He really didn't expect them to now, especially after Trump's comments?

The funniest part about it is that it's the most half assed photo editing job I've ever seen. Like you'd think with all that money, they could have at least invested it in people who were better with photoshop. Literally just darkened the old image.

Ok some Christians commit rape. Not all people are good. My point was we treat women better than Islam worshippers. Apparantly that went swoooosh right over your head.

what do you think western muslims look and act like because the picture you are painting of islam does not correlate with my experiences

Well, he also thought it was mostly Muslims that committed acts of terrorism in America, so he's not well informed on Islam as a whole, it seems.

Man I will give you serious kudos. The point is man is supposed to be head of household and it also points out in the bible men cannot mistreat women unlike the Koran. The silence in church was very notable tho since I can tell you its not like that now and as a Christian I don't agree with that and its disheartening to see that.

Now you're going to have these rape stats tho. They have risen dramatically. You're not the only European country neither but I'm just pulling UK stats up. Seriously coincidence.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/283100/recorded-rape-offences-in-england-and-wales-uk-y-on-y/

As I said before take a walk in a Muslim neighborhood preferably after dark and it shouldn't be a problem. For a man it should be safe. Right? Have you been to these neighborhoods?

Well, he also thought it was mostly Muslims that committed acts of terrorism in America, so he's not well informed on Islam as a whole, it seems.

And you said there was 89 terror attacks when there was 35 in between 2011-15. So you didn't have your facts straight and nothing showed the race or religion of the perpetraitor.
