End of the Bar Does Not Care, John Harbaugh

If the Vikings beat the lions today with Max Brosmer at qb I'd be really interested in having Flores as our next HC. I think the hardass attitude he had in Miami would do our players some good and he atleast knows how to scheme up a blitz that gets to the qb
The guy is an evil genius. His defense done some crazy stuff and it is so fun to watch.

Brian Flores....... trade that Minnesota Purple for Baltimore Purple! Think I'm getting closer to having Flores as my number one option after that Lions game but still prefer an offensive minded guy like Klint Kubiak.

Im honestly not a big fan of Klint Kubiak. Early this season he was getting very cute at times and calling trick plays when he shouldn't have and it cost the Seahawks a couple of times

I still prefer an offensive-minded coach, but Flores is the only defensive-minded coach I'll accept. He'll bring that toughness that's been lacking for quite some time.

I question Brian Flores fit with Lamar just like I question Klint Kubiak fit with Lamar . They both will likely bring fought a west coast offense that I'm just not sure would fit Lamar. Todd Monken gives Lamar the freedom to audible and make his own calls. Thats never been stable or mandatory thing in regards to Klint Kubiak style of offense unless fans think it's best for Lamar to be restricted in this matter .

the old football adage that if you're not getting better, you're getting worse seems to have yet another proof positive from this ravens season
Precisely this. In hindsight it's somewhat predictable, but this team effectively just rolled out the same team it put out last year and said "OK we'll just do better". And not surprisingly, others got better, which means we get worse. Honestly the Ravens and Lions are basically in that exact same spot... two teams that looked dominant last year, underachieved, then just thought they could run it back with the same group of players and schemes and everything would be fine.

Just Lamar being Lamar. Not easy to work with him and his camp from the business side of things. Doesn’t exactly eat the best or put in the extra work all the time inside the building. Nothing “bad” per se but it’s a very unique relationship with the team.
The truth is usually in the middle. I don't think the franchise has had any thoughts about trading Lamar or that there's really even some major riff between he and Harbaugh.

But at the same time, yes, it's not overly difficult to see how its difficult to work with Lamar. He's not a diet/workout guy. Doesn't seem to have the film study obsession that some of the great QBs did, though I don't think it's a "problem". Doesn't have an agent so you have to work exclusively through him and meet whatever arbitrary timeline he has in his head. He has reported illnesses more than literally any QB I can ever remember. And it does appear he's quite conservative when it comes to playing through injuries. The "sleeping through film study" thing is nothing new. Heard that one plenty of times before.

Lamar has always been the guy who, while develops, seems to lean a lot more on athletic/physical talent than mental talent. And in most cases, that's fine. Because he's a unicorn in that spot. But he's not in "everyone's cup of tea" kind of guy.

If it comes down to Lamar vs John, they're picking Lamar. But Ravens fans truthfully have been "spoiled" to the level that they're not used to hearing this kind of stuff, because they're winning. Losing teams have these exact same kinds of conversations every year. When you're losing, there's always dirt to uncover and people to blame. It's happening in Detroit today. Its been happening in KC for weeks. There's more noise around losing teams than winning teams. Always.

Yep essentially that. I'd be very hard pressed to believe they have any interest in burning that bridge and having to go back into the QB market. It's not all sunshine and rainbows and they definitely have some disagreements between both parties, but they have one of the top players in the game. There will be a time when they have to make a tough decision but we aren't even close to that.

The one caveat is that with a new HC comes a new system. Theoretically you're hiring a HC that wants to coach Lamar. But conceptually, that also may not work out at all. HC changes can, frequently, lead to rebuilds regardless of whether the roster is perceived as good or not. It'll depend on the culture the team wants to establish and what the HC views as the optimal way to construct a team (in conjunction with the GM). There's plenty of franchises out there that I would argue wouldn't have interest in the current version of Lamar being their franchise QB. Just philosophical differences.
So IF there's a HC changes, which I'm become more reluctant it'll happen by the day, it'll be interesting to see whether that coach is tied directly to Lamar or not. Ravens can move on from Lamar, if they wanted, within the next two years. Either via trade or FA. There's really no restrictions there as long as Lamar agrees to it.

Another thing would be to give someone within the organization a shot at HC which is a stretch. I can't think of anyone other than Tee Martin which is a Dhalsim level stretch IMO

Reminds me a lot of our 2014-2015 seasons minus the coordinator change
