(Never) Too Early Prospect Watch

I'll second that. And I think Harbs loves his outspoken ways as well. His balls are made of iron.

Funny, because when they were at the Iowa game I thought it was for Wadley hehehe.

im looking forward to watching rosen live for the first time today rather than just "on film"

I realise that every player has a good game or two and that it doesn't necessarily make them an NFL prospect but I'd never heard of Riley ferguson and Anthony miller but they are tearing up the ucla defence here - they both look like draftable players from here - anyone know anything about them?

Tearing up the ucla defense isn't that hard lol.

But no, I don't know anything about him. Will put on my tape radar though

Anthony Miller is a walk on at memphis who tore it up last year. 90rec 1500yrds 15 tds type season. Hes explosive but im not sure how fast he really is. Hes stepped up in big games thrpughout his career (caught game winning td vs Houston last year i believe). Gives a lot of effort in everything he does and carries that chip on his shoulder for being a walk on, which i like and the ravens like.
Oh and he makes spectacular plays like this one

Typically the guy who goes UDFA and goes on to have a productive NFL career.

Idk if hell go undrafted. Hes too productive against big time teams. He will make an nfl roster though. Just based on his effort

Watch RB Rashaad Penny tonight vs Stanford. This kid is special, reminds me of David Johnson comming out

Idk that I see how he could go udfa tbh - but he might be a guy who goes on day 3 but has a chip because he thinks he's the best guy in the class
We've seen so many guys be good and go way later than we thought. I can think of Rashard Robinson, we thought he was going 3rd and he went 5th. I liked Robbie Anderson, Travis Rudolph or even that WR from Washington State that I can't remember his name. I think right now he is in that range.

Idk - from what little I watched he seems to have some good traits - this is a complete guess but he looks like a 4th/5th round type receiver at the moment - he may be better or worse but just from the good things I noticed that's the range I'd guess at this point

I really really like Deonte Burnett. Ever since he had that monster game in the rose bowl hes been darnolds favorite reciever. Very reliable hands.

I mean at the moment, I'm most definitely in the Rosen camp over darnold
I could see why. Rosen's got a gun, and if you give him any semblance of protection he's deadly accurate and somewhat mobile in the pocket. But because Jim Mora has proven to be a good coach, but lousy recruiter, Rosen doesn't have an oline. Which means even though the RBs are very talented, they can't get going, and Rosen is getting massacred. His situation is somewhat similar to Andrew Luck's as of right now. Both are very good QBs and you can't deny it. But, both have absolutely nothing to work with sans a reciever or two, and have absolute jokes of a defense as well. This puts them into potential shootout situations, and because both are super talented, they'll keep their teams in the game, but eventually try to force something and screw it up in the end. Rosen as of right now is Tony Romo before 2014. Both get a bad rep for choking, when it's not really entirely their fault(but then again, Romo never brought his team back down 34, but you see my point), and both are very good QBs.

As a player comparison it's tough to put a name on Rosen. Many say Matt Ryan. Sure, both are mechanically sound and have guns, but Ryan, at least as of recently, is much of more a gun slinger. Rosen plays it safer, but he's entirely conservative. Some also say Jay Cutler because of the boneheaded mistakes he occasionally makes, but Rosen(in college anyway) is far more accurate, and doesn't have nearly as strong of an arm. Overall, I see Eli Manning. You get the good along with the bad. When Manning is on his A-game, he's great. He's won two Super Bowls and he deserves a ton of credit. When Manning is terrible, you want to hit your head against the wall.

Who are some of the o-linemen that could be had in round 2 or 3? I think we should double dip this year, one in round 1 or 2, and then again in 3 or 4.

At this point last year, Feeney and Elflein were first rounders, so it's still too early to tell. Apart from Price and Nelson I didn't find any OL that I really like. Tyrone Crowder looks like an animal but he looks suspect in pass pro.

I guess I'm a little impatient. I'll try to let the college season play out before asking too many questions.
