The 2023 Offseason Thread

I think thats a bit over blown.. you cant or shouldnt fire someone off one bad incident, shit or even 2 lol. Gotta give people chances to see if that previous shit was just a fluke

If you’re referring to Steve Saunders…

You out yo damn mind.

Respectfully

So I got curious and went to get a look at the NFLPA survey. Seems the super low score for "Strength Coach" directly relates to not having individualized plans for players. Guessing there will be big changes there with the departure of Saunders.

  • 36% of players believe they receive an individual plan (Ranked 32nd)

The areas that would seem to be directly related to rehabbing injuries "Training Room" and "Training Staff" graded a bit better, but it sounds like they need to upgrade/add some equipment and staff.

We got a pretty bad report card, In my opinion

That Judon tweet from years ago about Saunders is annoying.

I understand not making rash decisions but when your employees are telling you something about management then you should probably listen

As you know we've been hollering about the strength coach since 2020 or so right here on this forum. The amount of injuries have been ridiculous. I wonder if they switched to stretching/yoga regimens they was supposed to start doing last offseason.

Well that yoga stuff definitely didn't work.

As Ravens fans we have always looked at the organization that did things “the right way” but this stuff makes me look at John differently.

Why are so many players upset with how we handled their injuries? That’s inexcusable

This isn’t exclusive to the Ravens, it’s happened at other places.

Are there a lot of players upset about how their injuries were handled? I saw the few guys that really played little and spent a short time here. Did I miss some?

Would be interesting to hear what guys like Jimmy or Tavon would have to say.

It's pretty hard to blame the players for this one. It's not exactly hard to believe that Harbaugh kept someone incompetent in their job far too long - we've seen it with Marty, Roman, Castillo etc before - we know he has a history of it.
No, I blame the players for not executing their jobs well enough. And I blame Bateman for lacking the self-awareness to realize that.

Bateman hasn’t done jack shit since he got here. He has not impressed me once, watching a Ravens game. He needs to step the fuck up before he acts all butt hurt.

So players can't call out coaching even when it's valid?
