Well, lets be fair. If Lamar came to them today and said he would take basically any of the offers the Ravens had previously offered, the Ravens would do it. Its not like their financial landscape has changed since any of these offers were made.

Lamar is too stubborn to do it. And even if he plays on the tag , he will be disgruntled.

There is nothing worse than having a disgruntled employee working for you.

This is the exact contract I've been talking about. 175 mil for sure banked cuz uncuttable (not counting whatever salary would have been in place for 1st 2 yrs of contract). This could also possibly leave the Ravens an out after 2 yrs if need be instead of totally guaranteeing a contract when it comes to the cap. Seems to me Lamar only cares about being the top insisting on 231 mil guaranteed and I completely side with the Ravens on this. Get an agent Lamar if you are too blind to know what's a great contract!! Quit killing the team and leaving the fans in limbo cuz of narcism and understand the big picture.

Anybody don't believe 175 mil totally guaranteed is fair???

Oh i thought it said 4y 175 fully guaranteed? 3yr 133 with injury guarantees mean nothing imo.. idk, im confused cause i thought the initial offer was only 3yr 133 fully. That article said something about 4yr 175 fully.. that wasnt the initial offer!!

Well it was. When Lamar said 3/133, then was the initial offer. It was the same deal that Schefter and others reported months earlier. We know this, because that 133 is identical from both.

The 133 is the gtd at signing. Lamar is ignoring everything else, because its not technically fully guaranteed, which he is correct. The problem is that people smarter than him understand that the 175 is like 99% guaranteed, because the Ravens couldn't absorb the dead money cap hit if they cut him before that guarantee kicks in. Its 133 in gtd at signing, plus another 42 million that's guaranteed for injury after year 1.

That being said... if the Ravens did offer 4/175, fully guaranteed, which I assume they didn't, I'd bet Lamar turns that deal down also.

For a comparison, Murray's contract is $104 mil. fully guaranteed, Prescott $95 mil..
