I don’t watch much college football but what about our offense makes it college-like? A lot of offenses in the NFL run the read option successfully with the likes of Kyler, Watson, Allen, etc. Why is ours so often under the spotlight?

Yea I’m starting to finally understand that. It’s not like we run the wildcat 2/3’s of the time and are tearing up the league lmao. I’ve seen people on social media calling our offense “gimmicky” and I’m not seeing anything resembling that. Maybe I’m bias and have purple sunglasses on, but I literally see any team with a mobile QB running a similar offense minus our full house. I’m so confused
 
Also, Hawks fans are becoming unbearable. I like Russ and everything, but his fans are now pointing to our Pro Bowl selections as another way to demean Lamar because of the “talent around him”. It’s getting so comical at this point. It’s almost as if Russ doesn’t have Lockett, Metcalf, Carson, etc. I forgot he’s playing with a bunch of nobodies that were just signed off the street. Our number one WR won’t even have 1,000 yards receiving this year. I reallyyyyyy hope Lamar gets MVP just to rub it in even more.

They don't realise lot of these guys were Ravens before Lamar but incompetent coordinator and Joe couldn't do shit for the talent to show. Back then they were all "scrubs", laughing stock.

That is correct. This is far from a gimmicky offense. It is a well run, efficient scheme using NFL concepts that have been used for generations and there are power concepts and some read option sprinkled into the offense. Just as Harbaugh said, in the offseason, the plays aren't new, but the way the offense is being called is totally new.

and many of the same offensive player were on the roster last year and didn't make the pro bowl. Could Lamar have something to do with that. He makes everyone around him better. That's what an elite qb does

I’m all aboard the Lamar hype train but the pro bowl is a popularity contest and we are the most popular team in football the pro bowl and pro bowl voting with always and has always been a joke/popularity contest in all honesty we’ve just never been this popular
 
They can call it a "college offense" if they like, but all great offenses draw elements from everywhere in football. What makes the Ravens offense go is the design around the run and LJ's strengths. When you have such a potent run game it really opens up everything, including an effective passing game.

Simply stated it's all about unpredictability and we've formed a squad and scheme that is executing that simple premise to a T.

This is actually the best argument for why Lamar is MVP. Think about it. How many of these guys were probowl bound this year when they were sitting at 4-5 with Flacco at the helm a year ago. Jackson did the same thing at Louisville. He makes everyone around him look better than they actually are. This isn’t to say everyone is bums, they’re all talented players at this level. He simply gives his teammates an advantage because of how off balance defenses become trying to account for him. A half step of hesitation is all the difference in a one on one battle at this level.

thats why some of the players that made it is so fantastic. Stanley certainly didnt win the popular vote but certainly should have. Anyway fans is 1/3 if the vote.
