The Good, the Bad, and the Savage: Week 12 Edition

No. I'm sick of seeing you argue with people about this. Joe doesn't magically say "hey I'm gonna play good now" when he gets to the playoffs. In the past Joe just becomes a different animal in the playoffs. Its that simple. Its an internal "switch", he doesn't have the ability to turn it on and off, it just happens. He plays better. I'm not saying he will do it this year like in years past. Joe looks too far gone to me. I'm just arguing for the posters you quoted.

Wait! So, I should care about what you're sick of? A person that believes in Joe having an "internal switch" for the playoffs to be a different animal? I can't....I just can't....

Man I am looking forward to the amount of shit I get to give you when he ends up playing better in the playoffs .

edit: I like that you are STILL in denial that some players are more clutch then others.

being 1 of the worst QBs in the league it really does not take him much to play better.
cant get any worse then he has been doing so far.

also the only time flacco has been clutch was in 2012 when he was playing for a new contract.

Naw man! I'm not in denial!

I already told you days back that I get what you (and others) are saying. I just don't buy into that theory hook, line and sinker and hold onto it for dear life like most Ravens fans seem to do. This whole notion of; "If we can just get Flacco to the playoffs....he'll turn on the "switch" and AUTOMATICALLY play a whole lot better than he's done throughout the regular season" is just down right idiotic to me. But that's to me!

So, I just enjoy having fun with you cats that believe in that stuff. And like you all, I too, hope that the Ravens can make it to the playoffs WHERE ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!

And 2011 and 2014

The Good? The W of course.
The Bad? Our offense of course.
The Average? Our defense on Monday night.
The Tom Savage? Ironically Joe Flacco!

ill give flacco some credit - he didnt look like tom savage he looked mobile for once lol with his 42 yards rushing and he didnt turn the ball over
that being said he didnt play well

I'll admit, I was damn surprised...pleasantly surprised...by that run by Flacco.

He had some wheels and I was hoping that he'd get enough blocks so that he could score.

Good for him! :+1: But, the man still can't slide worth a :poop: :-1: :D.

You’re the one that’s in denial if you think Flacco will flip a switch and play elite in the playoffs. Maybe we’re watching a different QB this season because he’s been absolutely abysmal. He was at least competent in the seasons leading up to the playoffs in 2012 and 2014. I might think differently if he had more TDs than interceptions this year and didn’t check it down after his first read was covered.

Apologists, man.

All sixteen regular season games ought require a so called, "clutch" performance from a ten year veteran being paid quite handsomely.

I don't understand the leeway provided him by some fans . Or for that matter by the coaching staff one would presume . Has someone gotten in his ear regarding this? He really needs to be called to account by the owner and by the coaching staff if he hasn't already .

I realize this was done to some degree following last season but I get the feeling Joe gets to do whatever Joe wants to do . And Joe treats this as a six-month 9 to 5 job . He'd rather be somewhere else in the off-season . Not one time has he bothered to put a camp together in the off-season as so many other quarterbacks have done . I would consider this the least he could do as the leader of this team . As I said I just don't think he's that interested and wonder if we be worse off with Josh Woodrum in there …

Joe is either so deliberate in his reads that he waits for a receiver to come open at which point it's too late … (He simply cannot throw with anticipation consistently), or he dumps it off underneath prematurely, leaving a back or a tight and out to dry with two defenders closing in on them.

Woodhead should be more utilized, he's an immediate answer to our 3rd down problem. But then again, it would need Marty to have a clue.

he wasnt lined up in the slot once that i remember against the texans... given how mckinney was able to absolutely crash the gaps and drop into tampa 2 / into the zone - surely forcing him or one of their other linebackers to lineup in the slot is advantageous

Can people stop blaming the OC's?

Anyone can see that Flacco is just a crap QB whos actually backup quality and the statistics show it. our O line has given him a pretty good pocket. His long balls are just all over the place, accuracy wise.

He's simply a lousy QB who's been protected by this organization to a fault and has been under no pressure as it pertains to his starting job

Perriman was open and when the ball finally came out it was out of bounds. I feel bad for the kid, I really do.

Joe played horrible, Savage completed more throws over 15 yards then he did. Every team seems to scheme guys open except ours smh

Harbaugh is just emotionaly married to Joe. Joe is the reason why we aren't sitting with 8 wins right now . He has lost us games. He hasn't won us any.

we play a good offensive team on sunday. With the stupid hype and sudden tag of ''dangerous team'' we will 100% get blown out vs detroit.
it always happens.
