The Defense, the Special Teams, and the Ugly: Week 9 Edition

He’s way worse than Torrey Smith
reminds me of when torrey didn't go up for that ball in the New England playoff game and the ball was intercepted

we need a receiver like (i hate to say it) dez that goes up and gets the ball!!!

enough with perriman, he can't even catch a ball right in his chest

True, but they got the ball right back.
There were so many screwed up momentum robbing plays in the first half, almost comical, but not.
I can't give him a pass because the defense forced a three and out. Suppose that isn't the case?
We can't come out of the locker room on the road and have Joe make that sort of throw.
He has to be better than that.

I don’t disagree, just saying it had little or no impact on the outcome. Also, I think any mistake Joe makes at this point will be met with harsh criticism because of the early season funk. Fact is no QB is perfect and all make poor decisions at times. I just think a few plays go the other way and we aren’t even talking about that pick.

The interception should have been a reception. A decent receiver with a nose for the catch goes up and gets that ball rather than waiting on it.

''This is ozzie here, we felt we got more value from Sergio and Terrence, although Dez was a draftable player on our board.Having said that, even though he was taken before us, if you told me i could get Sergio and Terrence or just Dez Bryant, it's a no-brainer really..i really am the wizard of oz''

Wallace found his helmet, but not his game. The couple of times he caught the ball he looked timid and actually gave ground avoiding contact instead of moving forward.

Titans were the 3rd last red zone offense in the NFL before this game. Today 3 TD on not much more than 3 red zone drives.
Decker had his first TD as a Titan, exactly when we couldn't afford to let it happen, after 3 terrible plays by Mosley on that one drive. Stupid penalty by ZDS cost us another.

I don't want to talk about the offense any longer.

Wasn’t that after the 2nd interception? Or after the bad punt?

A #1 receiver isn’t going to help us when we are the only team that can’t scheme guys open

There was an article in the Baltimore Sun today about Perriman’s wasted season and it appears
our coaching staff, after reading it themselves , made a point to target Perriman constantly.
it was a huge mistake and eventually he was benched and they brought in Moore.

I’m not thrilled by this method of coaching by newspaper article .

Nah, we stopped them. Mariota was getting rid off the ball on 3rd down when ZDS made contact. That continued drive ended up with a bad punt.

Marcus tripped on the sideline, ZDS barely brushed him. BS call on third down and another momentum killer.

I tend to agree with this. I don't think if we had Julio Jones we'd be able to do anything with him. it is really amazing how the patriots always have a potent passing attack with whoever is in there. we seem to do the opposite. it is really frustrating

I wish they just admit perriman's a bust and call it a day. Putting him out there is like playing 11 on 10.
Dude has no hands, no confidence. At this point, he's probably hoping he doesn't get open so joe won't have to throw to him. It'll just be another drop. Ozzie and his WR evaluation man.. sad. Could have gotten Landon Collins and follow it up with Stefon diggs that year. Shame

That's true but is he just that stupid that he'll bump into him in an away game and give every opportunity to refs to throw a flag?

So they purposely didn’t go into his direction, they try this game and all of the sudden he seems open

I’ll say it again, Perriman isn’t the problem here.

We could have drafted any of those guys, doesn’t matter when the play calling and quarterback play is this bad.

No question, poor decision. Should have thrown it into the stands instead trying to make that play. But as was mentioned earlier that pick ended up being inconsequential as Tenn went 3 and out, no points.
Plus X amount of time. I think if this game had been longer we may have fared better.
