2018 Free Agency

I expect there to be heavy interest, but not sure how I feel about it in all honesty. Dez is still good, but it really looks like he's lost a step these past couple of years and I'd be fearful of what's to come.

The only reason Dez looked slower is Dak is not good. There are so many passes Dez was, open and Dak just outright missed him.

I agree but Dez, Crabtree and Smokey before we even get to the draft is a good enough wr room to make a run imo. Who else could possibly add what Dez could at this time of year?

Dak is certainly overrated, but it's on Dez, too. That foot injury back in 2015 really messed him up and he hasn't been the same since. Lots of lower leg injuries and it looks like they're starting to catch up to him. Still think he has a couple of good years left in him, but definitely not what he once was.

we're not looking for him to be a dominant number 1 receiver - we're just looking for him to be a decent piece - his drop rate was on dak, his lack of separation was on him - joe's 100% gonna give him more of a chance to make grabs than dak and not throw uncatchable balls

and dez is the kind of personality of vet wr who've thrived coming to the ravens later in their careers

My worry is more that it could be yet another short-term band aid on a larger problem of not being able to get a good, young WR ever. Sure, you may get a good 2 years out of him but then we're back in the same pool.

I'm not against the signing if it does come to fruition. I definitely think he would help. I just don't think he's a "must have" based on his last 2 years of declining play.

i think we should get either him or snead and also draft guys - i dont think 1 should prohibit the other - im not married to the idea of him coming here but i think we cant go into the draft needing to absolutely draft a wr (obviously we hopefully will) - i dont want us to be forced to reach

You're right that 1 shouldn't prohibit the other, but this history of this team says otherwise. I doubt we'll be reaching regardless. To me, it's just another band aid (although a stronger, stickier one).
