2018 Free Agency

I am not overly concerned with Snead's down year. He was injured for some of the season and was coming off a suspension. I feel like skill position players who miss a few games due to suspension or holdouts tend to get injured or have down years. LeVeon Bell is somehow the exception because he's not human.

I'd also be happy with Cameron Meredith as well and think both would be really solid, underrated signings.

I'd think this potential willingness to spend on 3 WRs speaks more to their feelings about the WRs at the top of this draft class as a whole. A lot of those guys simply mesh together, and while I really like a couple of guys, I'm not sure that any of them are truly "special"
I've been saying this for the longest time. Definitely the best value is on day two for the WRs. It's next years class that has the potential to be truly special.

Per Schefter (in response to an allen hurns tweet):
"Cowboys, Jets, Ravens, Browns all vying for Allen Hurns."

that's the first confirmation ive seen that the ravens are actually looking at hurns
so add him to meredith and snead and its fairly obvious that the ravens should be adding at least one of them

I think Snead is the best value if we're adamant about adding a 3rd WR. I'd guess he comes the cheapest, and I think he fits really well as a slot guy for us.

I like Meredith a lot as well but I think the cost will be higher there, and not sure you can get Chicago to let him go. It would intrigue me to have Meredith and Brown on the outside with Crabtree working the middle, though.

I'm up and down on Hurns. I think his 1000+ yard year was more of an aberration and JAX just gave him that extension too early. I think he's a solid receiver but I worry he gets paid again based on that huge year.

I think I would rather have Snead than Hurns; he should be cheaper and there's less injury concerns. Guess we'll see what happens though.

i just want us to get 1 of them - they'd each add something interesting to this group and we need another guy so im not too fussed which - as long as there's value in 1 of them then we have to bring them in

Adam Schefter reporting:

"Another blockbuster trade: Giants trading DE Jason Pierre-Paul and a 2018 fourth-round pick to Buccaneers for a 2018 third-round pick and a fourth-round pick, source tells ESPN."

I’m torn between Cam and Snead. I think Cam is a better fit cause Snead is mostly a slot guy and Cam is that big bodied guy but he’s coming off an ACL. I’m highest on Hurns. I just think he has that dog in him and plays like a raven to me. Plus none of his injuries were serious.

The less serious nagging injuries are more concerning though. That's truly injury prone, rather than just falling victim to a bad injury once. Like I'm far more concerned with john browns constant soft tissue injuries than I would've been with Allen robinsons acl

my question would be about all this is that snead and meredith are available but if hurns goes to dallas does that signal the end of dez bryant?

could this be another jordy nelson case where the more obvious ravens player is the one released because their spot is taken by a guy we're much less interested in

because if hurns goes to the cowboys and dez gets cut id very much like to think the ravens would be well into dez
that being said id also be fine with snead, meredith or hurns too (as long as we still draft a guy - or 2)

I don't think they're gonna part ways this year though

that's my thought too given how little they have at wr beyond dez (albeit they still have more than we had) but its just something i thought about when i saw that dallas were on the list of interested teams

Gotta have Hurns. He fits Flacco to a T.
Pay ANY price DeCost!!! I know you are watching.
