Quarterback thread

Have to say, I'm quite curious to how the veteran QBs will impact the draft stock of quarterbacks come draft time. With Eli Manning most likely being released, Kirk Cousins, AJ McCarron, what happens to Bortles if Eli reunites with Coughlin, etc. Tyrod Taylor is likely to be released, both Bridgewater and Keenum are free agents.

Could shake up the draft if teams feel those veterans could help them win over waiting on a rookie to develop.

So that should be around week 3 of next year then
Nah, stidham would have done something to irk harbaugh, he would've taken a blindside 1.5 second sack in FG range in the preseason or something and ended up a healthy scratch for the rest of the year.

Drew Lock from Mizzou could be a good successor to Flacco. He's a real gunslinger, who will do some dumb, Farve-esque throws at time (which will end up working sometimes), but could be amazing if he got chemistry with a WR that'll fight for the ball.

Given that the QB market in FA is set to be more lush with talent than normal I wouldn't be surprised if Allen and/or Darnold(if he comes out) fell close to us given that the teams picking towards the top might go get some of the QBs in FA...

I still think Rosen right now is the only guy I'd want to take in the first round, but that might fuck up the rest of the talent pool more than anticipated.

Stidham has been on fire this first drive. I thought he was a Round 3 guy but lately he's played like a fringe first rounder

Just think of the bears - they paid mike glen on around 17-18 mill per year and still took trubisky at number 2 - whatever happens with this free agent class I don’t see any way in hell those 3 guys aren’t gone by pick 12

Clear stupidity to pay him that coin.

After seeing russel Wilson play tonight... I wouldn't be super opposed to Lamar Jackson if he falls to the second. I hate him as a pocket passer but if he can make plays with his feet AND arm then that would be a fresh feel for the ravens

I've never been against Jackson. When the play call is shitty the best choice is a guy who can play outside of it. However I think he'll need time.

i worry about how lanky he is and whether he'll hold up to an absolute beating (which an athletic qb who makes plays outside of the pocket is gonna take) - and i worry that he's a scramble to run qb rather than a scramble to throw qb in terms of mindset and that's hard to change when a guy relies on one thing so much in their career

Falk seems to be a Kirk Cousins clone as much as I hate comparing college prospects to nfl players.

Looks like I was wrong @rossihunter2 , Falk will indeed be at the SB. Prob means Baker won't go, and maybe Rudolph won't either (which is a mistake if you ask me for Rudolph).
