The WR Thread

yeah i dont remember marquise lee ever being in the discussion for top wr that year... every mock and every opinion i came across had watkins unquestioned at the top and then mike evans and odell beckham jr (in either order) as the next 2
Obj was a very late riser. A poster on the old board gabfergy pushed him hard and myself and a few others got on board probably late jan when he was still well down the list

He wasn't the top guy. That was Watkins.

Ridley is more polished than Lee could ever dream of being
Ahh ur right, it always was Watkins but I remember posting that I'd take Matthews over lee and I was absolutely blasted for it, with everyone declaring lee the unquestioned #2 really up until like a week before the draft.

Not comparing the 2, just pointing out how much shit changes with draft stock

Evans is another, but obj didn't shoot up boards til real late. Point is marqise lee was unanimously seen as a top 20 pick for the whole year leading up to it and then he took a huge tumble shortly before the draft.

I was one of his hypemen, I got on board right after the combine after his explosive timings and massive hands opened my eyes more to him. By the time the draft rolled around he was my #1 and I was crushed when he went 3 spots before us, Because the thought of him falling to 16 was highly realistic at the time

Don’t remember Lee being #2 before the draft. Everyone had Mike Evans as their #2 and Beckham 3rd. I called the Ravens pick that year

He was top 3 for me that year with Aaron donald and that tackle the rams took.

For what it's worth, thought evans would suck in the nfl.

Win some lose some

Yeah I keep forgetting who all was in that class. I'm talking long before the draft, after Watkins and Evans, he was basically consensus 3rd, and obj didn't get his hype until very late.

i thought Evans would suck too lol. I guess there's a point of freakish strength where that's really all you need and the routes and agility don't mean shit lol

I wanted Aaron Donald or Zach Miller that year. They were my favorite players in the draft.

@RaineV1 .
Was the first i saw to point out Ishmael. I just got around to him and wow is he being unjustly ignored. Talented pass catcher that really needs to be in the conversation. Strikes me as a guy none of the pundits are On about that ends up going early because the scouts are hip to him.

Everybody don’t be so shocked on draft day when DJ Moore is taken b4 Ridley. A big strong explosive slot that can play outside and get deep then climb the ladder. Ridleys lower bod explosion is gonna do him in. DJ is gonna be better in the nfl. He was built like a running back in college. He now looks more like a WR yet as strong and physical as he was at 220 or better.

Yeah, Ishmael has a high ceiling at the next level. He was unjustly left out of the combine. He’s a hand catcher that creates saparation and attacks the football. He’s going to be a playmaker.

He is ridiculously underrated.

Seeing articles saying DJ Moore > Calvin Ridley now. With that being said, would you guys be fine with him at 16? Or too high
