The WR Thread

@RavensMania i like Chark and think hes a better version of Chris Moore but i worry if he will develop into anything better than what he already is? He has inconsistent hands and im not sure he'll ever get over that

You can get over inconsistent hands. If you can give your team the big play, they can get over the occasionnal drops. Plus Chark is mainly a deep threat, drops don't happen that often on deep passes. Don't ask him to fight for the ball though.

Well thats what Moore was for us last year and his drops were extremely costly. I just see Chark having the same role as Moore and im not quite sure i want 2 guys who have the same strengths and weaknesses.

Chark seems a lot closer to Wallace than Moore. I think that if he goes to a team and a qb that can play to his strengths he'll be fine. Similar to Wallace looking bad with the Dolphins and then playing well here.

I can see that with play style but Chark has much better length than Wallace. Listening to Chark talk im not quite sure he will pick up a play book imediately and im not sure he will work on what he needs to. Im just not sure he has a great mental capacity and its a cause for concern in my eyes. I could be wrong, i mean i still see him as a 3rd round pick and thats solid in a class this deep

Im just not sure he brings WR2 production in year 1, and we really need a rookie who can come in and get us 500-800 yards recieving in year 1.

Heres how you fix it

Round 1 -WR
Round 2 -WR
Round 3 -WR
Round 4 -WR

You can't miss this way right?

I love Cedrick Wilson as a number two. Love his hands and deep speed. Really good On crossing routes and good at positioning his body downfield to make the catch.
Quick feet and shows really good double move set up On film. Won't break tackles but if he can make a guy miss he can go and run away.

Same, he's really being slept on. We could take him in the second and I wouldn't blink. He's got some of the craziest footwork I've ever seen, his release can be scary to dbs because of his footwork they don't know how to play him, and his athleticism is obviously through the roof.

Really fun film to watch. Strikes me as having upside and as a Guy that will work On deficiencies.

Honestly I don't see much in deficiencies. He doesn't shine in contested catches, but his hands/ body control aren't lacking. It's more a consistency thing to me. Basically, if Marlon Humphrey was a WR prospect rather than a cb, I think he'd look like Wilson on film. He has all the tools and even enough refinement, he just falls out of form every now and then on a few snaps.

Wow, slow down cowboy. Not to say Wilson isn't a good prospect but you're talking like he's the next Odell. We saw at the Senior Bowl, he has a place in the NFL but he isn't THAT dominant.

Of all the "2's in this draft he might be my favorite. I'd say his tape is the most consistent for sure.
He'll need to better beat press...though he can and actually does best it which is encouraging...I think he will improve in that area and I think if he does he could be a number one receiver.

I'd like to see him fill out a little. Sometimes he appears slow off the line. I love him in contested catch situations...tracks the ball extremely well and makes adjustments.
I agree with you that he's way undervalued. A lot to love about him.
