The WR Thread

Ab level? As in antonio brown?
No, I’m not using it as AB Level. I’m refering to more a to b Level wideout. I also think that’s how Joey was using the term.

That being said, I do believe many of the 2nd round wr have the ability to grow into a number 1 wideout, but not a top end number 1 like Julio, Hopkins or Antonio Brown.

Depending on who is available at 16, I wouldn’t be against trading down and picking up another 2nd rounder due to the drop off Level not being much different after around the top 20.

no, i was referring to antonio brown. anthony miller has that type of potential and his floor is pretty damn high

I absolutely like Anthony Miller and agree his floor is high, but at this point I’m not spending a 16th on him. There are only a few wr I would be willing to spend a pick 1-20 on and that is why I have graded this class the way I have. A lot of A to B level with a lot of potential to become a level talent. However It doesn’t rank up there with 2014 or even what 2019 could be. That being said, this draft is playing out the way we want it to play out. We could wait out until day two if our top prospects aren’t there for wr. I’d love to land Nelson, McGlinchey or Ridley at 16, but I also wouldn’t mind trading back 10 spots and picking up another day two pick. There should be a lot of talent available in the 2nd when we pick.

Deebo Samuel. Damn...this kid is gonna be a steal if he can stay healthy. Holy crap, he played in 3 games this year yet you can still make a highlight reel. Kid has some serious injury problems though. Talk about adversity

Somedays....i watch James Washington and I hate him. Other days i watch him and come away impressed, today was another one of those days

I said top shelf talent outside Ridley, Sutton and maybe Kirk. I’ll watch some more tape on Wilson. Not just Ridley.

I think there is a lot of AB level talent in this draft, hence my sweet spot of the 2nd round for wr.
Wait...a lot of AB level talent? Like Antonio Brown? ....like one of the top 3 receivers in the league AB?

Idk if I’m buyin that...

Edit: I see you’ve already clarified. You definitely should stop saying AB level lol... too confusing

Everyone shit on the cowboys for taking Travis Frederick in the first, small school jerry rice in the first was a head scratcher as well. My point is, if the player is gonna be good, who gives a shit if the media ranks them lower than where he's picked? I have a hard time believing that a lot of players that go between 16 and 48 are gonna produce more than miller, I'll say mark andrews and a few rbs are the only skill position guys after 16 who are gonna produce at a level like Miller.

It’s one of those where you have to trust your own evaluations - I wish id stuck with mine because I had kamara way ahead of mccaffrey and cook ahead of fournette

And then I’m happy with some I did stick with like juju being a borderline first round pick and Witherspoon and Godwin being 2nd round level guys and Carl Lawson being a first rounder despite the injury problems - this year I’m gonna trust the media narratives even less and it may mean my board goes tits up but at least it means I won’t be BPA mock drafting players I don’t like over players I do

I like it. I need to trust my own evaluations more too. I'll feel real strongly abou a guy but on a big board and on mocks I'll have someone who I don't give a shit about ranked higher.

It’s how I ended up with guys like taco Charlton rated in the 1st round despite not believing in that evaluation at all

i feel like we see a lot of draft related shit the same lol, i thought very little of taco charlton and literally only put him in the first because the media said so lol

I do a mock draft competition at my house for my draft party. I count 2 pts if the team gets the player. 1 point if he goes in the same position but a different team.

its not all bad though - i wouldnt have taken a second look at takk mckinley if the media hadnt told me he was a first round pick for sure...

what if a team picks a player but in a different spot?
coz that happened to me with the bears and leonard floyd and i imagine it happened to most people with the niners and solomon thomas this year

Yes, still 2 pts. I do this because we aren’t doing trades in the mock. I do one for the hell of it as well, but the others don’t.

We should all do this on the Forum and submit the mock the day of the draft. We could create a thread specifically for the mock.
