Timing is right to share this one:



I do think with his work ethic and his apparent attention to detail Kirk will get over those.

Kirk doesn't do any of that. He just goes from point A to point B to point C and at no point the DB is guessing, which is still fine because Kirk is quicker and faster anyway.

I see what you're saying, his knack for finding soft spots and playing patient make his route running look better than it really is, but I still wouldn't say his route running isn't refined, maybe just lacking in some spots like selling the top of his route and positioning on the sideline etc.

I've read he is considered as a player who can only play in the slot, think he has to do with his inability to run some routes or his struggle to make contested catches? I would find it very funny if we draft him, as typically we only take guys who can only run deep routes, and never play in the slot.

If by inability to run some routes means beating press and running the 9 route then yeah I would agree, but he's not a guy I think should be pigeonholed. He gets separation and he gains YAC. He has a lot of little nuances that give him the advantage in a lot of spots, like adjusting the depth of his route to make room for YAC when he sees the DB playing top down or breaking a hair deeper when the db is trying to play aggressive coverage, just little savvy things that get him separation.

He could play outside because I think he's a guy who could work the sideline very well when he's not facing shallow zone concepts, comebacks and in routes, give him room to either get that separation against his man or find the soft spot, he would be best in the slot for the time being but I think he's a guy you can move around.

I’d prefer Ridley or Sutton if we take a wr in the first. These guys know how to run a route and more importantly how to sell it to the cb.
 
Let's fix this WR thing. And package Chris Moore, Perriman, Boyle, Max and Buck Allen with pick NO.16. And use all that ammo to trade up to top5 and draft Ridley!!

Ther isn't a gm in the league dumb enough to move down 11 spots from elite qb/db/wr range for that.
 
WalterFootball has us trading up with Miami and selecting Calvin Ridley at 11. I would like the aggressiveness.
 
Walter Football has James Washington as the 12th rqnked reciever in the Draft. They say he goes rounds 3-5. Im glad i finally see someone who calls out hus lack of explosiveness. Hes not a first round talent

I don't think this is fair. Washington isn't explosive, but that doesn't mean he's a bad prospect. He does a lot of things well and he's NFL ready. I have a second round grade on him and he'll probably get drafted higher.

No one is moving down 9 spots for those guys, absolutely no one. Seriously it doesn't work that way. Not even the Browns would make that trade.

They said he has a running backs body and his seperation is more accounted to build up speed and route running. He doesnt have much wiggle and isnt great after the catch. All of which i agree with when watching his tape.

The first part is true. The part about him not getting good YAC is just false.
