the problem at this point is that Joe is doing bad in things that arent really to do with scheme or playcalling (they might be coaching but we know james urban is doing a good job with lamar so that seems unlikely at this point)
- consistently bad ball placement
- poor pre-snap reads
- bad post-snap recognition of coverage and vertical reading of the field
- regular staring down of receivers
- picks the wrong read/receiver
- batted passes
there are things he does well still/has improved this year particularly
- good footwork in the pocket
- delivers one of the most beautiful looking balls in the nfl on a consistent basis
- nice mechanics
the problem with the above is that Lamar does a lot of those things well already - lamar is really good at post-snap reads, making good choices, looking off defenders, throwing a catchable ball, nice pocket footwork, nice release
