The Random Thought Thread

If I hadn’t looked it up for myself earlier, I would have thought y’all were capping
 
Asked myself why I’m even more into the fall this year than last year, why I’m invested in football with full interest just like I used to be when I was a kid… found that it’s because I went through a pretty shitty breakup last fall which robbed me of the usual joy I had before as a kid. Was a bad 4 year relationship that sapped a lot of my normal passions for this time of the year that I used to have for those 4 years. This year? Not only am I past all that mess and no longer controlled in an abusive relationship, but I also just got hired on in a pretty rock solid full time job which gives me even more excitement! Come on fall and go Ravens!!
 
Also, thanks to all of you for being brothas from different mothers to me during all of that. Really changed me and messed me up pretty good for a while but y’all here meant a lot more than you ever thought in the spring and even now

Lol you and me both. I remember in the mid 90's making a delivery and this one guy and he was even like 20 yrs older than me kept talking about this chick he was with the night before and kept saying how fat she was. Man this chick was so fat. I mean she was fat. Fat this. Fat that. Fat. Fat. Fat. I'm thinking this guy must really be liking some fat women. So I didn;t worry about it and for about the next couple weeks I'd hear this here and there.and finally I asked this one dude that there seemed to be a lot of people liking fat women here lately. He explained no it's phat and I'm like "What". He said pretty hot and tempting. I'm like "Oh ok". <_<. I mean bad is good. Goats are the best when at one time you didn't want to be the goat. I can't keep up.

Last year was just so different with the covid and empty stadiums and I believe a lot of people didn't have the compassion for football last year and why it makes it so much more fun this year. Looking forward to the 1st preseason game tonight. Also sounds like you had a hot mess of a relationship. Glad you got out of it.

Very true! And it was a definite mess but you only get stronger in due time once you’re out of one

Congrats on that. Always hard to break free but when you are you know it was worth it.

Not really sure what the reason is but the last 2-3 years I was super busy just going from senior year of high school to my first time at college and definitely watched all the games but read way less into it. My passion is so back this year and I can't get enough of the Ravens right now. Like you said, I feel like a kid again.

Just a prediction, but with how much turnover we have had over the last 6-7 years for our team I think we finally can settle in enjoy that we have some staples and franchise guys- espically home grown up and comers. Makes it way more fun to watch when it doesnt feel like everyones a 1-2 year rental.
