The Random Thought Thread

There's roughing the passer shit that can be questioned, but the Mahomes rushing shit is out of control. He runs around like a moron, but gets predicted as if he's not a runner. He's also the ONLY QB to abuse that rule and therefore the only one benefiting from it
one of the biggest floppers is Josh Allen. I'm sure he will do it tomorrow night.

Why would Clark be a Chiefs fan? Also idk it's pretty disgusting imo to have Swift and Clark and all this external fame be perpetually rooting for the Chiefs. It produces the BS that happened on the field today.

Another note, and maybe it's insensitive and I'll happy apologize and delete if you want. The fact that enormous quantities of young women in particular are able to be so easily manipulated into participate in activities they don't care about because they're following a fake celebrity relationship is insane and grosses me out. On both sides. What does it say about the NFL to act this way? What does it say about our culture and our young people? It's a Lotta ugly all around.
She's from Des Moines, which has a big population of Chiefs fans. It's also a playoff game and those are usually the ones where celebrities show up.

"Manipulated into participate in activities they don't care about" is a pretty wild statement lol. You make it sound like watching a football game is a bad thing. I don't really see any problems with girls checking out football because their favorite singer is dating a football player. Maybe some of them develop a genuine interest in the game, maybe not. We shouldn't be gatekeeping football.

It sucks that it's the Chiefs, but the Ravens are on the verge of starting their own dynasty and soon we'll be the team everyone else hates

There's no gatekeeping. I control nothing of what others do. Also, outside of what i control, i also have no desire to exclude. With that being said, tons of these girls are first time viewers entirely because of swift and kelce. It means they wouldnt be acting the way they are now if ot wasnt for this interesting circumstance. When they break up, theyll stop. Ultimately to each their own, I don't care at all. Free country for everyone.

Ultimately though, it has a material impact monetarily. And I assume (although it's a conspiracy) has a material impact on the outcome of the games.

We all became fans some way

After watching his act yesterday I’ve lost all respect for Mahomes. Any amount of talent he may have is overshadowed by his gaming the game, the flopping and embellishment are on a Serie A level. It doesn’t even look believable. Pitiful.

As he realises he is being taken over as best QB in the game he is willing to bend the rules to level it up. Bit like Brady did.

The Lions are a fun team but putting the ball in Jameson Williams' hands - a man who makes 9 out of 10 wrong decisions - is a choice. None of the NFC teams are that scary, but Washington does seem to be putting it all together at the right time.

I don’t think Dan Cambell is capable of coaching his team past a certain level. The hard nosed go for it every time attitude is great but I think it creates somewhat of a reckless attitude in your team. There was no reason to get cute there. The lions have a good enough offense just playing it straight. As a head coach at some point you have to be the adult but I don’t know he has it in him.

Possibly but I am guessing entirely here, you wouldn't be saying that if there team didn't have 16 people on IR

It feels like a team that is a QB and decent health away. I like Jared Goff but he collapses in these moments. Obviously won’t be easy to do any better but there’s a lot of talent on that team.

I dunno his recklessness cost them last year too. It’s like an uncle I used to have when I was younger. Made and lost a fortune several times in his lifetime. He had a Midas touch and would build up a business only to see it fail at some point due to some type of mismanagement. I feel bad for lions fans this morning, this loss has to be crushing. Especially to a rookie quarterback and a coach that shitted away the largest lead in a superbowl

I like Dan Campbell the guy. I acknowledge he's not the best coach. 100%. But I think their undoing is far more related to 16 IRs and Jared Goff just being 1 rung below where SB QBs are

Maybe not the concern about being the best, but trying to make up the gap for his diminishing athletic abilities, like Brady did.

As a Chiefs fan I can admit that. The last flop crap out of bounds was gross. Honestly I don’t ever think he was as good athletically as Jackson or even Daniels was last night… But up until this point he has exhibited something which none of those others has shown which is pulling something special out of his butt when needed. The td to Kelce was a prime example. Not many QBs make that play. He just comes up big in big moments. He has been really frustrated the last couple years and took a beating this year due to line play. I just hope I never see that play again…. I was embarrassed as a Chiefs fan

I'm not sold on the idea that it is due to athleticism. It's just clear to me as the years have gone by that the talent on offense has diminished. Their best weapon is an aging TE.

IP is a good player to have but he is nothing special nor does he compare to Hunt the first time he was their and the offense was humming.

So, Pat has been doing with Brady did. Learning to do more with less and taking advantage of the refs if they fall for shit.

I would agree with most of this. Obviously I have watched a ton of Chiefs games in my life. The team has struggled offensively since Bienemy left. We actually have enough offensive players to be decent but for whatever reason it is not happening. Three years ago they decided to make Pat a pocket passer to mitigate his potential for injury while rolling out and making plays running. It hasn’t been the same since. He does best improvising on the edges and making plays. It has been frustrating to watch for sure.

literally the only team left that worries me if we were to meet them in the SB
I think we could beat them. I'd also worry a little about the Rams, knowing how good a coach McVay is and how good that defense has played. Verse is a monster. Can you imagine Verse and Donald on the same team???
