The Random Thought Thread

So here we thought we were worried about Denver having Rodgers when we play them this year.... but now they have Russell Wilson.

AFC West is going to be an absolute bloodbath this year - that broncos roster is ready to cook and now they've got Russ - they need to find a RT and probably a LB too and they've got cap space to fix it but otherwise that roster is pretty much locked and loaded

the AFC as a whole is going to be so tough too:
Lamar
Burrow
Mahomes
Herbert
Russ
Allen

and that doesnt even include the other mid-tier QBs or the younger guys who have a chance to take another step too

loaded conference

Fine... everything is 2012 again and this is proof. Denver signed Peyton Manning in 2012 and what happened? Mile High Miracle and a Justin Tucker Boot out of the Playoffs. We winning the Super Bowl confirmed.

Assuming this guy is legit, we starting up them #SIIEs!!!

It's not just that... think about the AFC West now. Mahomes, Carr, Herbert and now Wilson twice a year.

Yeah, not looking forward to having another elite QB in the AFC, but hopefully this means that the AFC West teams start to beat on each other a little bit and takes a team like KC out of contention for the number one seed next year.

Blistering heat lol but it’s dry heat so it could be worse. Makes for perfect weather to enjoy the pool and beers

Where were you? Sac?
Unfortunately lol... Much rather be in Fresno/closer to the south. You know I hate this place with a passion lol

Yes, yes, YES

obviously would love to see us bring jensen back
but temper those expectations slightly...

this is the passage of another article (this one) that's the basis behind this article:

One player I expect to generate a lot of interest on the free-agent market is center Ryan Jensen, who has the attention of the Jets, Bengals, Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, among others. So many teams are looking for offensive line help, and Jensen is viewed as a nasty tone-setter who could help a line with his attitude and ability. If multiple teams are as interested as it sounds they could be, Jensen could be a hot commodity and rake in a nice payday. -- Graziano

I'm told the Bucs will try hard to get something done with Jensen. They feel he's among the best centers in the league, maybe the best, when in their system. If that costs $15 million per year -- which it very well might -- then that might be worth it. The same goes for Jason Kelce with Philly, as far as the system fit. He could do another one-year deal this offseason. -- Fowler

Was on the final year of his rookie deal, and they'll likely run plenty of 3-wide sets out of their base offense with that squad.

sure that's fair (although i will point out that 3 WR sets also have 1 TE lol) - but cant really quibble with trading him away when they've fleeced seattle in this deal overall - cant believe that's all it took to get wilson...

Well I mean Wilson had a ton of leverage here, and I think they only get a better deal from an NFC team.
I think some in the media may overvalue Wilson a little bit. I'm not certain that a lot of teams league-wide view him as like a top 4-5 QB anymore. I think he'd be closer to back-end top 10 or maybe even a little outside of it.
