WR/RB Thread

he did look incredible - but that Pats defensive line was abysmal
I didn't need for him to play well last night to know how good he is. It simply confirmed what we saw on tape.

I've sung his praises a long while now and perpetually mocked him to us in the third going back to February.

He's a better version of Kenneth Dixon and I stated as much several times pre draft.
Just me I suppose but I'm positive I take him over Wormley on day two and it wouldn't have been a difficult decision.

I love that though. Goes to show that your typical fan can evaluate talent better than these " experts" people put all their faith in for info
Oh trust me I know, I've said for years that us super fans who know our shit can spot talent and predict picks better than the analysts, and it's true.

I'm just saying that basically the whole board was high on Kareem hunt, like if you said he was gonna be good congrats you're part of the majority lol

Any fan that knows how to watch tape can spot talent. However we don't have the access to as much tape as they do nor the interviews and the medals. There is a reason we are fans and they are scouts and GMs. I'm certainly glad we aren't running the team.

If you want a fan running a team you end up sinking the team.

I don't want a fan running the team, I also say gms have a lot more pressure to make the right pick which leads to overthinking so it's a lot easier for us to make simple picks of who we like. And I'm more talking about the analysts than gms, they are all horrible except for mayock, and on occasion DJ. Charlie Campbell used to be good but now he just projects a player at a position of need for everyone regardless of talent level

some people just have it and others dont! You watch all the tape you want and still not see what others see. Look at falcons head coach. Look at what he did for the seahawks and now falcons. He truly has an eye for talent. I agree with you though, fans would run a team into the ground

I understand Kareem Hunt looks to be a very good prospect and had a great game one, however so does Kenneth Dixon and both can catch the ball, but Dixon is a bit faster (4.58 to 4.66) and had the 2nd most yac in the NFL last season. Yes I know speed isn't everything, but the ability to break tackles is extremely important.

At the time of the draft we had lost two starting defensive lineman in Guy and Jernigan and many had no idea who was going to start. Some thought we would be starting Kaufusi, who didn't play at all last year while Pierce and Williams would be the other starters. DL at the time was the stronger need and many had Wormley going in the 2nd, agree with that or not.

What I'm trying to say is no one knew that Dixon was going to get hurt and many were excited to see him in year two. Especially since after the suspension he would, at some point, take over as the starter.

To think we missed out on hunt for wormley. Dude is a great wr. At worst he could be a good 3rd down back
To think that everyone else missed out on Judon and we nabbed him in the 5th in 2016. To think we drafted Tavon Young in the 4th yet all the other teams bypassed him. To think that no one drafted Pierce. The list goes on and on. No one is 100%, but our front office finds a lot of talent in the middle rounds and even undrafted players. Most teams don't do well in the middle of he draft, but our success rate is incredible.

Yes our front office is great. our mid, late and undrafted players is what been keeping us alive imo.
