2026 Offseason Thread

Clowney doesn't make sense anymore imo. I'd honestly love to bring back calias cambell as a bridge to madibuke and keep him fresh for later down the year.

Give me CC, and a Jake Hummel replacement for depth pieces and we solid everywhere except

I'd also like to add a vet corner as I don't believe in old Marlon or Tj Tampa but doubt we do that with all the young guys
Common now!!!

Love it, welcome back Calais

Looks good. I like it but i dnt think we are SB contenders this upcoming season for me to be excited.
I could definitely see us making the SB since the AFC is pretty open right now. The Patriots are still pretty flawed, the Broncos might go awhile longer without Nix, the Jags and Chargers continue to come up short in big moments, the Bills took a step back, and the Texans barely have an offense.

The Super Bowl featured a second year Head Coach who is now a Super Bowl Champion and a head coach in his first year with his second team. No reason Minter can't get us to the Super Bowl in his first season with the talent we have on this team.

i think mike macdonald is the best ever and minter had chargers defense looking really good.. how similar are their schemes? cause at first glance shit looks the same..i know mikes preparation is off the charts so has anyone took a deep dive into minter yet to find out some of these things? I also feel like zion young gonna be one of those pieces that lets us blitz 4-5 and still maintain good run defense

different flavours of the same modular defensive structure and teaching style

Maybe I’m just a big Mike Green fan, and I was last year, but I don’t think Bain was worlds better as a prospect. If both were in the same class, I think they’d be more like 1A/1B depending on what you value. Green’s arms were short, but not Bain-short, and both had some questions: Green with the sexual-assault allegations that affected his stock, and Bain with the reported fatal crash/careless-driving situation.

On the field, I think Green was the better athletic pass-rush prospect. Bain was the more complete player, had the better Power Four résumé, and did it against better competition. As someone who watched Bain a lot (I like The U), I still think he had some stretches where he wasn’t dominant, and his stock really took off late, especially with the playoff run.

My “Green could’ve been top five in 2026” comment is less about saying Green was some flawless top-five prospect and more about the 2026 class itself. I think Green could’ve gone higher in the 2026 class than he did in 2025 if the off-field concerns were viewed the same way or removed from the equation. No disrespect to Bain, though. He was my guy, and I’m sad to see him with Tampa, but at least he’s in the NFC so I can still cheer for him.

excluding the off-field stuff, i had mike green top 20 last year with a late 1st/early 2nd round grade
excluding the off-field stuff, i had rueben bain top 3 this year with a top 10 grade

different levels of prospect for me

And I think that’s okay. He hit a wall last year and never really got better.

as i see it, there are now 8 guys at DL competing for probably 6 spots
Okoye would definitely be on the outside looking in and then the final spot probably comes down to how much they want the 4m they get for cutting broderick washington
