The Q4 Heroics, the Tackling, and the Season is Over

I play online video games and when people get mad after I made a mistake, I always just wonder if these people think I'm totally oblivious. I know I fucked up; you don't need to pile on.

He's obviously getting it a lot worse than I ever would and he also knows he fucked up. It's not like this is dawning on him thanks to people online telling him.

What do you play? Need someone to yell at

After watching this garbage there’s no doubt in my mind we have the right guy playing QB. How many drives did he need to win us this game?

It was a playoff game which means once again the defense can’t get stops or turnovers in key moments. They just can’t.

Social media is the fucking worst. He knows he fucked up. He doesn’t need a bunch of fat fucks telling him that.
I always wonder do athletes really be scared or bothered by these death threats? Like i grew up before social media and till this day i still dont have one but shit like this, i just know isnt real so i wouldnt even care but i know mentally, everyone handle things differently

I’m so glad I decided not to bother staying up all night this year for primetime games

We went 2-5 in primetime and the only wins were against the dolphins and the packers (with a backup QB)
Here's a fun one for you - was lucky enough to go on 2 awesome strips this year, one a family reunion in Hawaii and the other a wedding in south beach Miami.

Hawaii the day I landed was night one of Bills.
Miami was yesterday with my flight back in the morning. Beautifully get to "ruin" both trips mentally and missing a full night of activities on vacation to watch us choke.

Double ironic, love how we lost week 1 to a 42 (?) year old free agent kicker, and lose with the rookie in the opposite spot.

The Boswell miss is the only time in history I can remember something like that going our way in an important game. Good thing we made the most of it

Never forgot.

Obviously wish we would've completed the revenge tour. But how fitting that this game ends up being a firefight, with multiple deep completions needed to even stay alive, in the face of the calls to bench Lamar Jackson for one of the worst deep throwers of the last half-decade.

The defense gave up all those plays to a team with an old man and without DK

The lack of making the simple play defensively did us in. Especially after losing Kyle Hamilton. The anemic pass rush was difficult enough as it was. After the loss, they marched up and down offensively. Hurts to see.

apparently 3 4th quarter lead-taking drives wasn't enough

the problem is, sometimes people do actually do crazy shit to you after sending death threats
it only takes 1 insane person to make a death threat scary even if most of them are just people saying shit

Penn state gaurd who's name I can't spell on mobile plz.

We should really throw heavy money at Hendrickson imo

on first view i dont think olaivavega ioane is that guy in the first round
opinion could change of course as i access more film but from what ive seen so far - he looks more like a 2nd rounder to me

my 2 favourite OL:
Spencer Fano
Emmanuel Pregnon (will be a 25 year old rookie though)

the most frustrating thing about Todd Monken is that he's a legit mad genius with the way he designs certain plays
but then some of the in-game playcalling is the most vanilla shit you've ever seen

hard to rationalise those two sides of him

i do think, in hindsight, most of the criticism of monken disappears if we had a good OL the whole year

Sad to hear cuz I love him but trust your opinion, I haven't watched tape but just games and short videos on him. Seems like a stone wall in pass game but maybe not a mover / athlete worth a high enough pick. Super interesting this year that the top two tackles both play right side and there is talking of transitioning them to gaurd.

Now on Loop...

Guys. Loop missed a 22 yard FG in college. With a perfect snap and not blocked.

He's ass. He's always been ass. He couldn't do a kick off to save his life. This was always going to happen and shame on Decosta and Randy Brown
Bro that kick is terrible. Like not even small mistake that is a legitimately pathetic attempt at kicking the football.

I am damn certain I could have done a better job than that purely from my time playing football/Soccer.

How do you miss that bad.

Hard to explain but I judge some coaches on maximizes vs level setters.

Best example I could give is exactly this, monken with elite weapons and top lines runs some of the best offenses in NFL history.

Harbaugh can take a roster of covid bums to 8 wins, but our results seem stagnant when the players are elite. To think we got the an essentialy equal record to the 2016 ravens this year is baffling with the roster differences.

Small call out cuz it didn't matter but if you watch the kick watch the awarness of Kolar to understand his guy isn't a threat and get a hand on the leaping steeler diving across. Really impressive and I pray we pay him. These are the kinda guys we need. Sucks it didn't matter.

77 too tbh on the play.
