The King and Snoop, the Defense, and the Merry Christmas Ya'll

Coaching malpractice Henry hadn’t gotten a minimum of 20 rushes per game during his Ravens tenure.

How much would Malik Willis cost as a back up?
I think the question is how big of a contract will Willis get as a prospective starter. He'll get a shot somewhere, he's shown quality decision making and physical skills in his limited chances.

also just want to point out that it's been awfully quiet on the daniel faalele front the last 2-3 weeks

almost like he's been playing well...
I was calling that out in the thread yesterday too, he had some really awesome blocks.

Stanley also played one of his best games this year, at least in run blocking he looked like 2019. RR is a guy who gets a lot of flack and yes he's super inconsistent, but boy can his ass get across the field for blocks. It’s neat have 2 tackles who can both get on second levels

Someone put it better on X than I ever could

With Lamar in, they call the offense they want

With Huntley in, they call the offense they have
We honestly have some really viable weapons all across the board, nice to see some of the guys get produce their own YAC

I could see that. Might be an over pay though. Not sure he is starter material but he looked yesterday.....or at least we made him look good lol

I don't know what Huntley's future looks like, but I hope they invest the few million it may take and just keep him around at this point. Feel like I was too harsh on him a couple of years back. Absolutely don't want him going toe to toe against good teams in the playoffs, but there's enough of a track record at this point to suggest he can keep us alive for a few game stretch if we need it. There are many flaws in his game but it's hard to argue the impact at this point. I totally get why the moved on... but at the same time, it just works here.

he's also clearly improved the last 2 years

like his improved throwing mechanics have clearly helped him find enough velocity that he can at least viably threaten the outside (even if he still can't threaten downfield)

he's weaponised the back-shoulder fade for big plays (which is something you always saw from him in preseason games with backup big receivers and then never saw in the offence otherwise)

and most importantly, he's unapologetically himself and understands his own limitations and understands the offence

i'm still 100% up for an upgrade or at least up for drafting someone on day 3 to be a potential QB3 to develop into an upgrade but he'll do

Yep, this team is going to fuck around and makes the playoffs and save Harbaugh's job.
I think I need to start looking for a knockoff seahawks jersey, I can't handle another season of Harbs wasting Lamar's talent

if lucking into the playoffs is what keeps harbs his job, then he was never getting fired anyway

i dont think the result next weekend matters as much as the performance(s) from here on out

I worry that Harbs will be able to argue that he still made the playoffs even with all the injuries and that he deserves until the end of his current contract with a new coordinator or two

Harbs arguing anything has zero to do with him staying or not. Steve will make the decision based on what he sees as the best path forward.

Correct.

Steve Bisciotti isn't going to interview Harbaugh at the end of the season and be like "tell me why you should stay". In his mind, if Steve needs to have that convo he would just fire him and get it over with. So there is no "argument" to be had, honestly.

I wouldn't even be surprised if Steve has already decided on whether to keep him or not. I could also see it is still a decision he is making, too. I think if Harbaugh is gone or stays comes down to the locker room and the real reasons this team underperformed this year. You can have guys in the locker room and front office chatter about Harbaugh leaving, but that's just gossip.

For example, people are shitting on Lamar atm after the Preston article. The article mentioning him sleeping in meetings and some crap about playing video games all night. I think that makes no sense with what we have heard of Lamar the player this year, who decided to remove the games and shit from the facility to remove distractions. If he did that and is guilty of this other stuff, then he would be the definition of a hypocrite.

Tabloid journalists are working hard right now. Don't believe them, whether it's about Harbaugh or Lamar Jackson.

This covers it exactly in my eyes. Need to find the middle of that philosophy - it's okay to let Lamar be Lamar and make plays, but if it's not working, there's still a clear functional offense under the surface that they just never tap into.
We should let Lamar be Lamar when it’s needed, not whenever they want or whenever he wants.

Run the ball and play within the structure, but the structure needs to support that, when the structure is downfield passing with lettuce handed receivers and turnstiles in pass pro and an injured qb, something is severely wrong.
