The King and Snoop, the Defense, and the Merry Christmas Ya'll

I'm still upset that Huntley in his 2 and a half game stint has looked better than Lamar all season. Ok, I'm exaggerating a bit but we all see the difference in play-calling. If these incompetent coaches would've done slight changes earlier we wouldn't be depending on the Browns today smh.

The team has played with an identity with Snoop. They know exactly who they have to be when he's in. With Lamar it's like they expect to be something else but he can't.

The way the team looks without Lamar , who is the team’s best player , is a complete indictment of the coaching staff .
Something ain’t right when your offense looks considerably better without an elite eventual Hall of Famer .

This…. Lamar’s best play has always been unscheduled, improvised. It seems we have struggled to consistently get into a structured rhythm, especially this year.

King Henry took over the game. This is kind of what I envisioned when he joined the team. He broke a lot of tackles last night and even with a banged up Packers defense our O-line was Meh.

Henry gave us a shot.

I’m conflicted here.

Obviously it makes you wonder why this team can’t play like this and better with our MVP. That seems like a coaching issue because Monken and Harbaugh should be able to see what we have seen. It’s not like this is new because we saw Huntley offense and Lamar before and after Lamar returned

With that said, I also think it’s an indictment on Lamar as well. I don’t think you can decouple them if I’m being completely honest

I could be wrong, I think we saw something like this under Greg Roman too. We've seen Lamar now on a few occasions complain about the other teams defense knowing what's coming and for a while we all felt that the gameplan when Lamar is in did not make much sense at times.

It's almost as if they want things a certain way when Lamar is in. I just don't understand it. Lamar has an arm and can easily execute an offense that requires darts thrown and a couple of yards picked up on the ground and we simply just don't do it.

So I am with you, this seems like a Monken and Harbaugh issue but because I've seen this prior to Monken I will pin it more on John.

My only 2 thoughts are Todd really is his own worst nightmare. He could be competent but chooses to not be. And this team REFUSES to play a complete game of football. Looking at this year you could argue maybe Bengals second game was complete but anyone who watched it would know some things really went our way to keep things on track.

Probably the worst season we've seen in a decade
in a 2 yr span from 2023-2024 season we had the best offense in the league. The offensive line and lamar jackson injuries is what happened to us this year.

and not adjusting to what you currently have will do you in as well.

I don’t know what we’ve done to deserve this hell, but here we are. A shame we can’t control our own fate but it’s our own doing.

Offense 10/10 no notes

Not sure what happened to the defense tonight but literally everyone in the secondary looked flat.

if you win any of the below games:
bills week 1
steelers week 14
pats week 16

then you still control your destiny
literally just need to go 1-2 in those games instead of 0-3...

it's funny that the only two playoff teams we've beaten outside of the division have been snoop huntley starts lol

Agreed. As you've mentioned, Huntley is significantly faster at getting rid of the ball, partially because he lacks the touch on the deep ball. Statistically, he is one of the worst downfield passers in the league over his career. In fact, over the past 5 years on throws traveling over 20 yards, he's 12 for 52 for 373 yards, 1 TD and 5 INTs. He and Lamar are completely different players, and they are not suited for the same offensive play-calling. That said, he's become a terrific game-manager, and like you've said, somebody who's capable of avoiding mistakes and converting on big 3rd downs. So glad that we've moved on from Cooper Rush in favor of him.

unfortunately moving on from huntley to cooper rush in the first place might have cost us a couple of wins lol
