If you feel like it.Can we create a Rooney Rule thread and move this convo there?
Thanks DadIf you feel like it.
It's the offseason kids. Better get used to nothing happening for weeks at a time. The next round of info that'll be meaningful is a good month or so away.
How’s workIf you feel like it.

Lucrative as always.How’s work
This is why I haven't been hard pressed to move the conversation or cut it off. Nothing is happening until the combine and even that's kinda meh. Free agency is the real first exciting piece of the offseason. It's the offseason kids. Better get used to nothing happening for weeks at a time. Could do worst than Nagy though. He didn't call the plays for the chiefs and his last stint with the bears didn't go great on offense but he didn't really have quarterback either during those times.Lol Giants hired Nagy at OC and some giants fans are already seeing what we had to deal with

I respect that. Nagy is just 47 years old but I understand the mind set of him being a old head but his scheme is likely not old or outdated. The best OC is Kliff Kingsbury but it's something going on for why teams not hiring him. I thought for sure Harbaugh would hire Kingsbury cause he somewhat the closes he would get to Monken to degrees when it comes or how they run their offenseIdk. Sure you could probably do worse than Nagy but you can absolutely do better. It just feels like a Harbaugh hire. Uninspiring old head that he’s been around before.
In contrast, Minter has been putting together a far better staff and its refreshing
I usually stay away from the Rooney Rule debate, but I think the biggest problem with the rule itself is that it doesn't prevent teams from hiring who they want to hire in the first place. The Browns are a good example right now - it's already been reported that they're going to hire Switzer as their OC, but they aren't compliant with the rule. So now they have to bring in 2 minority coaches to waste their time and interview for a position that is already filled. I have 0 problems with giving minority candidates greater opportunities, but the Rooney Rule itself is a mockery and almost more demeaning in certain situations than not being considered at all. Feels like the whole system needs a revamp.
Normally I'd agree, and it is on-topic due to the coaching carousel component. I think the problem is that if people don't want to sift through those messages because they don't care, it gets annoying to sift through it. Just my two cents. This is why I haven't been hard pressed to move the conversation or cut it off. Nothing is happening until the combine and even that's kinda meh.
