I've seen that mentioned a few times, at least.

Apparently, and according to the rules, it's lateral and it's a team's discretion to treat it as a promotion. I've seen a tweet on that note but can't find it now.

literally all we don't know is whether he can call plays in sequence lol

and tbh with Lamar, if you build systems around him, he can make your bad playcall right if the structure around him allows him to

with doyle you're buying systems and scheme and creativity and if you get great playcalling on top then even better

We dont want lamar to have to turn a bad play call into a good one 50% of time though. we arent expecting lamar to run for 1k anymore so we should want things to be easier on him imo. I mean its tough to find a shannhan type of play caller anyway but for me, i think thats gonna get us over the hump is by making sure lamar dont always have to be a super hero. I like doyle though. I think he a problem solver.. now can he call the plays in sequence like you said? We gonna find out!
