Coaching Carousel 2026

Thanks for the memories Coach. Hate to say it, but the prime spot for Coach is Cleveland. He can do the most there. Glad the OC and DC are gone more than Coach.

But can he hire a good offensive coordinator though especially one that fits Lamar given that Lamar relationship with Monken wasn't great which is surprising to me
Lamar I’m speculating wanted Monken out. Harbaugh maybe told Biscotti that he wanted to keep Monken .
Biscotti maybe said no and canned Harbs

This seems the logical progression on how this played out. I do think Biscotti may have been surprised that Harbaugh was insistent on keeping Monken and was not going to fire Harbaugh going into the meeting

I could see trading with the Giants
It's funny, on Reddit all the Giants fans now want the Giants to hire Harbaugh. There was a thread about the Giants requesting an interview with Klint Kubiak and the first response by a Giants fan, "We do not care. Harbaugh." Other Giants fans saying they would drive him to Metlife themselves lmao. If John does go to the Giants, and the Chargers ever stop Chargering than we could get another Harbaugh Super Bowl one day.
the problem is that teams know you're moving on from him which makes it hard to trade him if they know you're going to fire him
you can't have two HCs so you have to fire him in order to replace him
Yeah, it's much like a player in that sense, why trade for him when you can get him without giving up draft picks or a player. On the other hand........ John Harbaugh for Maxx Crosby and a second round pick sounded pretty good lol.

the idea that because harbs would be hired by someone else in 2 minutes, that we shouldnt move on from him was always patently ridiculous

Not to mention they're different jobs. Teams that sack their coach are usually a mess. Harbaugh is a great choice in that situation. We want post season success. Harbaugh's not such a great fit for that.

I still think he has a good chance of landing with the Giants, however he gets there

I think right now I fully expect Harbaugh to be the new Head Coach of the Giants by Friday. I just really wonder how Harbaugh is going to handle the New York Media. His vague responses aren't going to sit well up there, "Jaxson Dart might be dead, might be alive, we'll have to see how things go in practice."

The texts are starting to slow so here's my recap of what I understand. My info is going to be from the FO perspective because that's where the line is with my guy...

They were planning as of this morning for Harbaugh to be the coach, and Monken to be let go. Unsure on what they thought was going to happen with Orr.

Harbaugh and Bisciotti met today, and Harbaugh wanted to run it back with the same staff for the most part. Bisciotti wanted a new face on offense. Harbaugh resisted. He was informed he was being let go rather abruptly. FO did not fully know that was how Harbaugh was approaching the meeting, but there's nothing more to that other than them prepping for their own meetings amidst all of the chaos.

DeCosta also met with Bisciotti at some point over the last couple of days. He was told that Bisciotti wants to win and to make it happen. Expect some aggression.

Bisciotti also knows this is Lamar's team right now. They're fortunate enough to have a superstar QB. Go win with him.

Can also say there was a group of veteran players that felt the message was growing stale and relayed that up. Don't know if that had any impact on the decision ultimately, but thought it was notable.

Names I've heard of interest so far: Kliff Kingsbury, Jesse Minter, Brian Flores

Lamar wanting Monken out is strange because his throwing mechanics and overall play as a passer went way up in his offense. He allowed Lamar to audible and freedom to make his own calls which was something he wasn't allow too much to do in Greg Roman offense.

I don't see how the owner would be surprised on Harbaugh wanting to keep Monken after the success he had with this offense and getting Lamar to play at the MVP level twice in the three year he was coordinating the team. Just real a strange situation especially when Monken was handicap by the lack of talent given to him in regards to the offensive line

Well its going to be a very interesting rebuilding off season. We have to get a Coach and coordinators and we have to get some Hall of Famers most of all. The Raven's of my youth always had Hall of Famers. We haven't drafted a Hall of Famer in a long. long time. If you are gonna let Coach go, our General Manager needs to come up with some Hall of Famers. We're going to need to up our Draft Game some. We pick pretty high for us. Highest we've picked in a while. Need a couple Hall of Famers.

Haven't drafted a HOFer in a long time? Do Lamar Jackson and Kyle Hamilton not exist?

Well we will get more details soon so hopefully it clarifies how the firing happened.

This is what has me intrigued with pick #14, that's a reasonable trade spot if a guy slips just 2 or 3 spots

I've been incredibly impressed with how much the Rams have grown their offensive talent. Especially across the offensive line, which currently features a UDFA LT, a 2nd round LG, a UDFA C, a UDFA RG, and a 5th round RT. Obviously so much credit goes to Les Snead and Sean McVay. But I'd like for us to bring in Mike LaFleur for an interview.
