Coaching Carousel 2026

I personally don’t see it in a bad way. Feels more genuine and human instead of a lot of coaches just yelling to do better. He’s a great communicator if you listen to his words instead of his voice.

It really has felt like there has been a divide in Baltimore between coaches and players and that goes back to Roman. With Monken coming out pretty defensive after being let go, a guy who takes accountability for his mistakes and talking to players like this could be what this team needs.

I’m usually not a fan of hiring an unsuccessful coach immediately after they got let go, but this may be my exception. Obviously would rather him be an OC, but I wouldn’t hate him being the guy at HC either.
I mean, was that game the “greatest thing that ever happened to” the dolphins? Did they really “make it that way”?

Adversity is an opportunity, I agree there. Going through shit together, yep. I liked that area. I like how he sad the plan was trash. I liked how he acknowledges the QB overcompensating.

So yeah some good stuff but some super corny and cringe stuff in there that felt fake.

I bet they secretly interviewed a college coach yesterday since it was the only day they announced one interview instead of two.

The Rams coaching staff has a total of 9 interviews today before they have to leave for Chicago tomorrow. Talk about distractions.

I remember during Steve and EDCs presser that Steve specifically said he wanted someone to connect with the younger players. McDaniel certainly does that.....

a lot of the guys they're looking at are in a similar age range

you've got the 1 outlier ultra-young guy:
Davis Webb, 30

the mid 30s - mid 40s guys:
Nathan Scheelhaase, 35
Joe Brady, 36
Klin Kubiak, 38
Chris Shula, 39
Mike McDaniel, 42
Jesse Minter, 42
Kevin Stefanski, 43
Brian Flores, 44
Anthony Weaver, 45
Robert Saleh, 46
Kliff Kingsbury, 46
Matt Nagy, 47

and then Jim Schwartz and Vance Joseph who are both in their 50s

A guy that won coty twice in Cleveland is no joke. But the vibes are really bad, he needs to get out of the AFCNorth.
I have this feeling I can’t shake that stefanski is the best option and it’s not close, but I can’t prove it or explain it and I’m scared to be dead wrong on this so I won’t state it with any conviction lol

Lmaoooo! Not Zac Taylor lol

While this is obviously a puff piece, I'd have some grievances with this list fundamentally anyway:
1. Not sure I'd put Vrabel definitely ahead of McDermott, but I understand the argument.
2. I have no idea why Coen would be ahead of Ryans after one season.
3. I could make an easy argument that Ben Johnson is literally the worst coach in his division, not the best.
4. I could make an easy argument that Kellen Moore is literally the worst coach in his division, not the best. And that includes Morris, who just got fired.

S'kay bud. We're all nervous. I can't shake this feeling the Steelers are going to hire this Scheelhasse guy and haunt us for another 20 years.
