Coaching Carousel 2026

In Argentina Raven defense, we dont quite understand the whole picture regarding the Rooney Rule because there is almost none racism in Argentina, at least when it comes of who's in charge, who is in a position of power and who gets access to certain jobs depending on skin color or where you come from

For example, the president of the Futbol League was a garbage man who married the daughter of the truck sindicate, became president of a small club and climb the ladder thanks to political favors and influence

This guy right here

Uhh, no. There is PLENTY of racism in Latin America and Argentina would win any poll as the most racist country of them all. It's not a big problem within the country because there are so few minorities, but anywhere they go they are famous for it.

on a purely numbers basis
it suggests that there's a bottleneck further downstream

a lack of opportunity somewhere that is reducing the amount of talent available

maybe it's more of a CFB issue, but the NFL should be invested in trying to remove whatever the barrier to entry is that's restricting people from that coaching pathway
It’s not a barrier or a restriction though. There’s a saying regarding pro and college sports, if you’re good enough they will find you. The minority coaches at the college level that are seen as brilliant young minds, they get found, and they get to the nfl, just like the white guys. Demographically, there are just more white coaches than black coaches, that’s what “minority” means.

Harbs is heading for disaster in New York. Now that we've seen his hand picked staff you really start believing that he was the guy holding us back the entire time.

On a side tangent, I am VERY impressed with the staff the Ravens have put together. An excellent blend on both sides of the ball between hot young schematic guys and established, respected greybeards. Also a perfect mix of Ravens legacy and fresh blood. We'll see how it works out but on paper it looks really good.

My question would be- how do you know there aren't enough qualified candidates if they don't get a shot?
Because you had weaver, scheelhaase, and mcdaniel. One who called plays and failed, one who hasn’t called plays, and one who already got a shot.

Am I missing anyone? I’m sure I am but the list isn’t gonna be much longer after you add the ones I forgot that are serious contenders.

Lo q tu digas Mickey Vainilla
Ha.

The funny thing is, several people are talking about the same thing, but they only quote my messages to accuse me of racism, even though I've already received it more directly at some point.

Too much double standard from some people. Criticizing a rule makes you racist, but defending a racist rule doesn't.

Anyway.
For me, that's all. Out of respect for the many users and staff who have good intentions towards me, I'll only talk about fo
otball.

Nah, somehow we got framed when in fact we are a country made of mestizos, that means a large mix of ethnicities. I miself am 1/8 Brazilian, 1/8 French, 1/8 Italian, 1/8 Spanish and the other half a mix between criollo/native

The reason for the lack of African blood is because we never had slaves coming in the 1800s, like Brasil, Colombia or Ecuador. So the whole thing is kinda ironic

Surely you can see why people would think you have racist beliefs if you say:

I don't think there should be a rule that opens up opportunities for minorities to be interviewed and hopefully have their voices heard more

I don't understand why supporting minorities getting interviews would be racist, but I can sure as hell see why the above is.

But what about other coaches that interviewed at lower ranks and never got a fair shot? What about all those positional coaches on other teams that we don't know about that are potentially deserving, but may not get a shot?

I mean, how do we know there aren't enough qualified candidates across the board?

Labeling someone as a minority is believing you are bigger, better, superior, or whatever you want to call it, than others.

This leads to discrimination or social persecution.

I want them to interview people and let the one they believe is best qualified win the position.

If they can't understand that, the problem isn't mine.

Yea i dnt think labeling some as a minority mean that in your first sentence.. the word you might be looking for is peasant/slave or “ my bitch” lol

After seven years with the Steelers, running backs coach Eddie Faulkner is expected to take the same job with the AFC North rival Ravens, per sources.

Faulkner molded Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell in Pittsburgh. Now, he’ll team up with Derrick Henry

First questionable signing. I didn't find the Steelers' running back play anything spectacular, but we have to give Jesse the benefit of the doubt.

I mean, since they're mentioned above, Warren was an undrafted guy that is now a solid starter, and Gainwell was teetering on being out of the league until he found a role in Pittsburgh.

But he also worked with Warren and that guy Gainwell. Both of them have given us problems and neither was a high investment. I think that's pretty good.
