If they play the same coverage they did when we faced them back in Miami, then quick slants are gonna be stopped short of the sticks often.

Bunch formations can create some rubs to spring a run after the catch. Screens with blockers in good position would help too.

I mean, he's a backup. Everyone is out here acting like there are a dearth of better options than Vorhees and Faalele readily available but the state of OL play across the league says that's false.

with no offseason work either
not even like he was practising during rookie minicamp or OTAs, he's literally not had a single offseason practice, only in-season and only for the last few weeks - if he's ready to go already, he's a savant

if they're going to run true cover zero like they did in that horror game, then 2025 lamar gets bate on a slant on a hot route and he maybe houses it

typically cover zero means middle of the field open - posts, slants, well set-up screens are big winners in those scenarios

Wait a minute. Wasn't Flores still the DC for the Dolphins in 2022 or did he leave in 2021? I only ask because I vividly remember the slant to Bate that was housed in the other horror game.
 
Besides the bengals and I guess this last lions game the Vikings games I’ve watched they have looked pretty bad, our defense needs to dominate.

That is true, OLine play is pretty bad this year.

Vikes defense legit looked like hall of famers though.. offense was meh but aaron jones was playing pretty well
 
While i was watching the vikes games, im wondering why they arent doing any screens to help then next you know, they say something about van eckel or whatever picking off screens for a living lol.. ngl, vikes front 7 got me a little worried lol. Secondary trash but flores was scheming up some shit vs lions..

Same bro, same. It's gonna annoy me to no end if Lamar plays like shit after he said earlier on today that we turned the corner.

With how they played us that night, we would have to either hit that route fairly deep, or bate has to catch and make a man miss. They were attacking routes downhill and taking away throws like quick slants.
