Ravens trying to continue to keep the pressure on in the division.
Vikings trying to do the same after a big division win on the road.

Ravens with a few new faces for this game. Need to keep stacking wins.

This past TNF game was taking a half of the 2021 Dolphins game monkey off our back. The other half? Brian Flores. While there's no need to just spam them, but I hope Monken has a few screens up his sleeve to slow down the inevitable blitz.

I think Aaron Jones is supposed to play. Curious to see if Wiggins shadows Jettas or do we bracket him? Have no idea how good the Vikes' OL but I would think this would be Lawson's first game? Hopefully the same for Jones?

Vikes do a lot of stunts and loops since theyve had flores the past two seasons.. lions even took gibbs out because he couldnt pass protect good enough which kinda fucked up the lions offensive rhythm. Id assume we are atleast a little familiar with it since we often practice against it. Theyre probably gonna mix that in with some zero blitzes too.. just hope our oline can hold up.

Flores opened floodgates for stopping Lamar in 2021 and in turn Lamar developed as a passer.

It’s not necessarily zero blitz that was beating us, it was sticks coverage, all we had to counter the blitz was scramble and quick passes, and the sticks coverage shut this down, and we had no answers.

The answer is calling the right protections from the line, standing strong in the pocket and throwing it over their heads. They clamp down on quick routes and take away the safety outlets while putting Lamar under big pressure, this downhill coverage can have you giving up huge chunk yardage all night, but the offense has to be able to execute it.

It’s like fielding your secondary as if they were LBs and the pass game is the run game, the DBs have “gap” assignments and fly downhill to break up the pass or stop you short of the sticks, this is what Flores did to Lamar back then. You gotta catch the DBs flat footed and make them pay for playing this kind of coverage.

Also, we have to run the ball effectively (we prolly won't). Any 3rd and long and I'm gonna be (figuratively) praying for Lamar's survival.

Not sure that is true. I could see Emory Jones move into the starting lineup, but that depends on practice and in game results, you also never know if an injury will occur. Not wishing an injury but stating it’s not nearly that clear cut

Jones is a rookie who would switch from his college position and come in after a long term rehab. He might pan out but until we see it, not a great confidence booster.
