The TEs, the Turnovers, and the Jackson 4 out of 5

Lamar and Kyle… that is all

On the special teams front…

Stout has been great this year. Working his way to another contract with how he’s been kicking. Seems to have finally figured it out.

Conversely, Loop has been dreadful on this new kickoff. Can’t seem to hit anything with consistency. Far too many high arcs that float at the 10 and give a running start. Easy to blame the coverage units but they’re being put in tough positions far too frequently.

Lamar took way less to shake off the missed time than before. Very happy with him.

Both lines need a serious upgrade if we want to get to playoffs. Hope EDC can pull something next week.

Project Pat is not ready. Never seen him on his ass so much. Not the same Pat.

Pat has been hurt all year and it's his second game back on a short week. I never ever blame players for not looking to physical on a road thnf

Also kinda feel bad for McDaniel probably losing his job because he’s been saddled with Tua. Never understood what anyone saw in him at the pro level. Homie was trying to get someone else before they inexplicably gave him that contract.
I really hope mcdaniels dont become an OC somewhere in the afc

tbf he also committed to Tua and that's part of why they gave him that contract
but he's definitely been hamstrung by Chris Grier the GM for sure - really not sure how that guy's been the GM of the team for 9 years

Mcdaniel brought his A game but Orr had the better players and was up to the task. I would be all over firing Monken and hiring McDaniel this offseason. It's not that Monken is a bad OC, he's not, but he's stagnated in Baltimore.

i think mcdaniel's too inflexible as a coordinator

i was hoping loop had turned the corner on kickoffs last week with a few nice ones (i'd assumed they'd focused on it during the bye week) but he's so inconsistent with his aiming points... it's definitely not on the coverage units, we're often spotting the returner 15 yards more than we should

but yeah stout has stepped it up a notch and quietly become a top 5-10 punter in the league this year (if not better)

i think he's just so in command of this offence at this point that it's muscle memory for him - just had to shake the physical rust off to get the timing and rhythm back

Pat got caught by surprise on a couple of pass blocks and was off balance at the point of contact... he's already been a difference maker in the running game

To @Truth 's point, unless things change in his career against them, if there's any fanbase they have the least room to talk any negative shit about Lamar, it's the Dolphins. It's amazing how a few of his best performances have been against them. Despite looking a little slow/rusty, he finished with a 143+ passer rating. Good shit right there. TEs did their thang. Running game wasn't all that until the 2nd half.

Defensively, A LOT of bend but don't break. We got lucky with their miscues. As for that shitty call against them, cry me a river. We had shitty calls/non-calls against us over the years. I get it, I get it, "two wrongs don't make a right" but IDGAF.

Boy oh boy does EDC need to be BUSY, busy on them phones after Sunday's festivities. If we can't improve the trenches by Tuesday, it's a wrap for the season big picture. Can't expect to be bailed out by a shitty call or two and some incompetent miscues by our opponents.

I know they are fixated on the DL but OL really needs to be addressed. I'd rather they fix that cause they will be relied on more for this team to have success. Would love to get both but think they need to be the priority.

Need Lamars last regular season game to be against Miami before going on to win his 3rd chip

Awful GM and now Tua is getting his 2nd coach fired after complaining about Flores being too tough on his trash ass.

The OL is barely better than when Mike got there

heavier boxes again this week - clear schematic change from pre-bye and it's working - really allowing Ro, Buchanan and Hamilton to go hunting downhill on early downs

Rookies showing out

Mike Green was awesome as an edge setter - and the pass rush flashes are still there - hoping he can keep building and have a great second half to the season (would really love it if we could just spell him a little bit more so he's nice and rested in the 4th quarter of games if we need him... but maybe they're hoping Adisa Isaac can come back and be a factor soon idk)

@Simba was right about Keondre Jackson - dude was special on special teams… drew 2 penalties, made at least 1 other great play on kick coverage - really big for this unit to have a potential difference maker at gunner again

Starks looking so much more confident breaking on stuff as the centre fielder - rewarded with the INT with the great high-point

Buchanan was involved in both fumbles - he just seems more and more confident weekly

Roquan looking as good as he maybe ever has as a raven

I know others have said it, but it’s wild how the acquisition of Gilman has completely changed this defence (alongside the return of key vets healthy) - Hamilton suddenly is an x-factor again, communication is so much better, whole front 7 feels more dynamic even without much of a consistent pass rush

Travis Jones is obviously important too but he and Jenkins are the only positive interior players right now so it's amazing that one move for an average split safety can open up the front 7

Kirk Herbstreit is so so so bad - no one cares what you thought about a guy 6 years ago in college… analyse what’s in front of you… and he can’t do it because he adds no value to the NFL game as a commentator, he should have stuck to college broadcasts - he talks with so much confidence about stuff he just gets completely wrong

it's sad because the other parts of the prime broadcast (outside the announcers) are top tier

Can’t plant and push with a calf strain. Makes sense that he’s getting bulled over like that

One part of the prime broadcast that is not top tier is Andrew Whitworths hoodie blazer combo every Thursday

Damn I really wanted to see a Jackson 5 tonight. But it was good to see Lamar get the rust off and look more comfortable as the game went on. O-line is still looking like ass and we definitely need to make a change/ trade for someone
He would have easily had it if the Dolphins didn’t have the ball so much in the 1st half .

This is an incomplete team. It's probably the most fortunate year to be incomplete given how weak the North is. This team is entirely capable of sneaking into the playoffs, just has to play well against the North.

But this team wouldn't win a playoff game against even a semi competent team if it doesn't actually add someone like a Bradley Chubb and Kevin Zeitler. (Not them specifically). This team can't win big games with Vorhees at LG. It also cant stop any high powered offense with this Orr led defense when there's no rush whatsoever.

EDC make it happen man

Guard and pass rush, shows up every week. Okoye and Urban seem to have solidified the run D up front, but they need splash plays from that group. Doesn't even have to be EDGE, a DLINeman creating some havoc up the middle could open things up for the young EDGE guys.
