The TEs, the Turnovers, and the Jackson 4 out of 5

Lamar Jackson somehow only built on top of what is now possibly the best QB performance against an individual opponent. We got Derrick Henry back on track. The turnovers were there from start to finish. All three safeties showed up today. We were legitimately fortunate in the 1st half for it to not be a closer game. But at least we finished this one strong, which hasn't always been the case against Miami. A good night all around.

The first half was concerning but we turned it on in the 2nd half and left the Dolphins looking as dejected as we were just a few short weeks ago.

Lack of pass rush is still evident and not sure why we continue to run such heavy zone with how much it’s been exploited, but they buckled down when it mattered most.

Offensive line was getting minimal push in the run game. Can’t remember the last time we had to use the passing game to open up the run, but it happened today.

Wasn’t the prettiest victory despite the scoreboard, but definitely an opportunity to build some momentum.

Vikings up next should be a W for you guys as well.

Also, defense looks so much better by letting Kyle do Kyle things. That Gilman trade opened this thing up and if we can get some pass rush, it could all click on paper.

I do wish Gilman would go low for the tackle instead of his weak ass wrap the arms around the shoulders concept he’s got going on.

Mike Green looked like he was creating some issues.

Safeties made some plays.

Ro and Teddye played great.

Early on it looked like the defense was just being soft and passive. Once we started bringing a safety down and blitzing our defense started to work out. The run stopped, we started getting some pressure against a quick release offense, started making plays in the secondary.

Once we get one thing going on offense, it’s over. Run game was dead in the water until we started working the short pass, then came some quick hitting play action, then bam Henry started grinding out clock in the fourth.

We didn’t find any kind of rhythm til the 2nd half and we were coasting off of literally 5 flukes in the first quarter. But after we got going, we looked like the real deal. 6 of the last 8 quarters we’ve been playing winning football

Also kinda feel bad for McDaniel probably losing his job because he’s been saddled with Tua. Never understood what anyone saw in him at the pro level. Homie was trying to get someone else before they inexplicably gave him that contract.

Mcdaniel brought his A game but Orr had the better players and was up to the task. I would be all over firing Monken and hiring McDaniel this offseason. It's not that Monken is a bad OC, he's not, but he's stagnated in Baltimore.

McDaniel, Achane & waddle shined. Tua was ok, That roster overall is just trash.

Keondre Jackson(I think that's how you say his first name) is really good special teamer. He was making plays consistently out there on special teams outside of the penalties. Good game overall but the ravens need to find a way to address the offensive line and the pass rush woes. hopefully a trade does happen before the deadline.

Ok, well if he's not fired tomorrow then we'll give them Cooper Rush for Bradley Chubb straight up.

I'd give up the goods for a premier pass rusher right now

I don't think McDaniels west coast offense fits Lamar and where he is now as a player/quarterback. Monken air raid offense suits him better and gives him freedom to be himself and express his intelligence more . I don't think Monken has been stagnated in baltimore. I just think he's limited on what he can do with the offensive line playing so poor at times. Lamar is continuing to grow in Monken system and it seems like he mastered it but the offense in general is a bit limited given the offensive line inconsistent play. I also Monken is perfect fit for Lamar and he's one of main reason why his throw mechanics has been solid instead inconsistent since Roman left. I don't McDaniels can really get the best out of Lamar in that regard but he is intelligent offensive mind though.

To @Truth 's point, unless things change in his career against them, if there's any fanbase they have the least room to talk any negative shit about Lamar, it's the Dolphins. It's amazing how a few of his best performances have been against them. Despite looking a little slow/rusty, he finished with a 143+ passer rating. Good shit right there. TEs did their thang. Running game wasn't all that until the 2nd half.

Defensively, A LOT of bend but don't break. We got lucky with their miscues. As for that shitty call against them, cry me a river. We had shitty calls/non-calls against us over the years. I get it, I get it, "two wrongs don't make a right" but IDGAF.

Boy oh boy does EDC need to be BUSY, busy on them phones after Sunday's festivities. If we can't improve the trenches by Tuesday, it's a wrap for the season big picture. Can't expect to be bailed out by a shitty call or two and some incompetent miscues by our opponents.
