The Embarrassment, the Blowout and the Coaching

If ravens get a top 5 picks, we we want boys?

Imagine how this stubborn franchise would be without Lamar

Yep. This isn't to excuse it, but I think I saw every single young guy bite on something out there that they shouldn't have. Unfortunately when that's the entirety of the defense, there's no cover for those mistakes. They compound and we get railroaded like we did today.

That was the biggest concern I had with Orr publicly clamoring that being more physical was the overall solution to our defensive woes when we know that we've had too many assignment related miscues coming into the week. Not that the right message alone would've saved the day. But I right now have no confidence in our defensive staff's ability to self-identify our weaknesses.

He doesn’t know what he’s doing. Zero scheme. So he just preach BS like “Be Physical! Physical! Physical!

Pass rushers ain't just gonna come falling from the sky, but if there's one opportunity to shake up the roster to try to get better, it's there. KVN looks to be coming back into his own. Tavius is good for what he is. Green has had moments but it's been a struggle. Oweh has been nothing. Ojabo is probably a top 3 guy to get cut when we need a spot.

Elevate a guy like Rucker or Hamm and see if you can get a spark. If you sign Drake Jackson, see how quickly he can get up to speed. Just feel like if there's a position where we need to try something, it's there.

If it wasn't for the current injury situation, I think I'd also be open to signing Eric Kendricks at ILB and just give him a 53 spot.

My thoughts are coming out randomly tonight...

It's wild that we literally cannot stop a thing. Even bad teams luck into a stop occasionally but we are just getting beaten like a drum consistently. Again, the horses up front are simply not good enough to make any sort of moving pocket with consistency. I mostly don't understand the return to a soft zone philosophy this week, especially with a rookie having the green dot. I know I've been spouting it for weeks at this point, but it feels like the guys on D aren't even being put in a position to win. They're constantly confused out there and other teams clearly see the tape - run a decoy through a zone and it'll open up what they really want because it feels like every single guy bites. The players need to do their jobs, but if it's not working, you simply have to adjust.

I can accept a loss with this many injuries. What I can't accept is the lack of effort we are seeing from these players. They have quit and you can seen it in their body language.

Even in the past with less talent they still fought hard and never quit on Harbs. We now see the opposite and it's time to move on before the locker room turns on eachother.

Lamar still has a few good years left and we cannot squander the opportunity to win a SB with Harbs in charge.
