I will play Devil's Advocate here and say I am not sure/ready to blame Eric yet. I say that because he has been here a lot longer than Harbaugh. Also, any GM will involve the HC in personnel management as a good GM likely wouldn't want to give a HC someone they don't want. The GM would also likely work with the HC to prioritize positions.

DeCosta shares blame without a doubt, but I'm not sure I'm ready to place a weight of it on him. He still has to work with the HC on personnel to ensure they fit the team vision.

I will respond to this with this post. Eric was Ozzie's right hand man and hand pick successor. He turned down jobs from other teams to wait years for Ozzie to retire and move on. I know Ozzie is still apart of the front office in some capacity, but going from Ozzie to Eric means the philosophy of this team and how this team is run stays the same. We always hear about how a coach's message gets stale over time, well perhaps the team simply needs a new way of thinking in the front office, a new GM who can come in and adapt to the new age NFL.

EDC keeps building a secondary without a pass rush or good defensive line. I get the idea of coverage sacks, but if the QB has all day to throw then eventually someone will get open and the coverage sacks won't happen. They can only cover for so long, so you need guys up front who can get to QB and create that initial pressure so when everyone is covered... the QB gets sacked right away. Right now, as we saw today where we were covering everyone, there simply was no pressure up front to take advantage of it. This team needs new voices from the outside instead of hearing the same old message from the front office to the Head Coach.

Yeah I get it from his side. The word choice was definitely poor, but I don't think the sentiment was wrong. There's a lot less patience from fans nowadays and it's often looked at week to week instead of holistically. From Kyle's side, there's a track record of success and that's what he's hanging his hat on. Unfortunately, it seems this week showed there's a larger problem and he seemed to have acknowledged that based on his presser.

Lamar is an interesting one. I’ve no doubt he is hurt but I wonder how severe it is. Kinda weird if he was pulled as a precaution but also not undeniable because anyone could see we weren’t winning the game. It was kinda obvious the Ravens quit in the game. They quit before Lamar came out, their body language just sucked

My guess is if that is a 7 point game, Lamar is still out there. Don't doubt there's some level of injury, but I think the state of that game at the time in addition to the injury prompted the decision to pull him more so than the injury itself.

I can understand if this was 2018, 2019, even 2020 when Lamar is still just coming into the league, then dealing with COVID in 2020 and having no fans in the stadium, etc. I can get that, but when we've had so much success with Lamar and have nothing to show for it? We are past the point of patience and waiting to see what we have in Lamar as a QB. Now we are growing impatient due to the lack of success or Super Bowls at this point based on how much success we have had. I understand what he's trying to say, but that track record can only keep you around for so long until the "What Have You Done for Me Lately?" part comes around and... well what has Harbaugh done lately? NOTHING.

I think you're looking a lot deeper at this than any comment Kyle made last week
 
Watching the Eagles earlier pissed me off because that's still just not an exiting or explosive offense but they can move the ball because they have bullies on the OL and they can make plays on the back end because they have bullies on the DL. Still cannot fathom how we watched them win a SB with that formula and say nah, we're really not going to make any meaningful improvement on either side of the trenches.

Lamar hasn't really looked to take off since the Bills game and IMO I think something has been nagging him since that game. He's looked great without his ability to run like we are used to which is a good sign as to the type of player he can be as he starts to slow down.

They weren't even remotely prepared today. The offense looked good in certain spots and they just stopped doing the things that looked like they were working. My biggest issue was Henry looked good today and was finding some holes and for whatever reason we did not want to keep using him. The situational playing calling was off today. Way off. 3rd and short after 2 successful runs from Henry and they inexplicably decided to run shotgun and take Henry off of the field on short downs. Yes, Hill is a better receiver but in pass pro Henry is not bad. Taking Henry off the field makes it obvious in my opinion.

Another thing I find odd, we have all noticed how terrible this O-line is and yet we call long developing routes as if we have that kind of time. This sounds eerily familiar....Where is the help here when the defense is teeing off on Lamar? Knowing he is not 100%?? What is the thought process here? We have Tylan, Zay, and Bate and we just don't run slants.....which also sounds familiar.

Especially when you consider the principles this team was built on. After reupping with Henry not addressing the line was a terrible decision.

He looked awful the last few years for the Patriots, and hasn't been great in college either. Not to mention he'll demand to be in charge of player personnel despite his drafting being awful.

When we've had this much success I think we can get a little spoiled lol. I'm at the point of we need to win a Super Bowl NOW, team is way too talented to keep failing in the playoffs. That's all, and honestly like I said I think this team needs a new voice from top to bottom.

For GM and Head Coach in 2026, we need a mix of the Eagles & Lions. Both of those teams were built in the trenches and thus you see why they are so successful. When the Lions started over, who was their first round pick with their new GM? Penei Sewell, a Left Tackle who can be the guy to build your offensive line around. Look at the Eagles... they went back to back first round picks at Defensive Tackle with Jordan Davis & Jalen Carter. Look at the Bucs Super Bowl win in 2020, their defensive line manhandled the Chiefs offensive line. We need people from those teams to come in and build this team correctly.

We restarted with Ronnie all these years ago and 2019 was special because of it. We haven't been able to replace Yanda and for whatever reason let Zietler walk. Brown was great but got it in his head that he had to be a LT after Ronnie went down that year. If we weren't going to draft them then I didn't think letting Judon or ZDS walk was a good idea. We replaced them with Oweh which has not worked out.
