The Injuries, the Defense and the Offense (and the Special Teams)

The only time I’ve seen a Ravens team quit was when Billick got fired.

It’s time to move on from Harbaugh. His team quit on him for the first time in his tenure.

Now that I've got a little more time...

I've seen some bad Ravens teams in my time watching them. It hasn't always been sunshine and rainbows. Even when the going was tough, you could count on this team to play hard though. Today was the first time in a long time where it felt like everyone top to bottom (save a few guys) just gave up. No heart. No ability to fight through adversity. Just straight dejection on that field. And that's concerning. Feels like a bunch of guys on this team have gotten accustomed to winning and now that it's not happening, they don't know how to respond. Obviously that's on the individuals themselves, but that is a complete coaching failure in my eyes. Can't have your team going through the motions out there like they were today. Pathetic.

With that being said, the injury attrition is what it is. It genuinely looked like a preseason game on defense in the 2nd half, and the offense wasn't far behind. Cannot let that be an excuse for effort though.

that 2015 season was awful
but the team never quit at all

I’ve been a fan of this team over 20 years and I don’t think I’ve ever felt so low towards this team. Maybe the Cundiff/Evans loss to New England compares. Idk. I expected a loss today tbh but the injuries, defense and effort really suck. Not sure how things don’t change real soon
