The Injuries, the Defense and the Offense (and the Special Teams)

All 3 phases in complete disarray.

Team looked lost even before the injuries pile up. Just unprepared and underpowered.

Lamar seemed rushed, and then disengaged, and then he had a hamstring.

Ravens haven't been embarrassed like this for a long while. Injuries can be an excuse, but they shouldn't be. Saw a lot of guys give up today and that's not typical of a ravens team.

Even the decision making smacked of cowardice... down 17 points inside the redzone and they kicked the FG instead of going for it on 4th down (only to then decide to go for it twice with Cooper Rush on 4th down while down 24 points... make it make sense).

Schematically, the Chiefs had the Lions gameplan on defence with the delayed blitzes straight up the middle. Every team is going to do this until we fix it just like when we couldn't fix the blitz issue after Brian Flores embarrassed us a few years ago.

Special teams gave up a return and the ravens return game looked shaky at best.

We've got a laundry list of injuries to find out about:

Roquan Smith
Ronnie Stanley
Marlon Humphrey
Nate Wiggins
Lamar Jackson

Not sure there's a worse way this game could have gone.

I thought about making a thread earlier, you just beat me to it. Honestly, you should've just put "The Ravens" because the whole team sucked.

Probably one of the worst games I've seen. The game isn't over but for anyone watching, it's been over once Lamar went down. I'm not sure if he is really injured or if he's just hurt and we pulled him as a precaution because Stanley is out and no need to risk him. I had some good early on I saw, like Robinson with his deflection, as well as some micro plays from our WRs. Bateman had some nice plays, alongside Flowers. We also saw some good things from Henry and Hill. I don't quite see why we pulled Henry, but my guess is maybe we pulled him like we did Lamar. It doesn't make any sense to me. Loop looked good and so did Stout, FWIW, and Hill had some OK returns.

This is probably the first time I've seen this team quit. Humphrey was playing terrible. Roquan was playing meh. Jenkins played well, and saw some good flashes from Green. But what is going on with this team? We seem like we are in our own heads. If this was the end of the year, I'd say it's time to fire Harbaugh immediately. It's not and I doubt we will if we have any hope of a Super Bowl. With that said, I expect someone is going to be fired and it's probably going to be on defense. The Defense, for as entitled as we Ravens fans are, just looks totally lost. I don't want to blame the coaches for poor player execution, but this kind of epic failure can only be from coaching failures at this point. I've tried to be patient, but 2 years in a row and the guys still looking like this?

Harbaugh is likely safe but man I don't know how Bisciotti isn't having an intense convo about the performance of this team so far.

Me watching the Orioles and Ravens play this year

Fire EDC, Fire Harbs, Fire Orr and fire Monken, this team has completely quit on the coaching staff. Macdonald should've never been allowed to leave the building. Oh well I guess I'll just have to become a Seahawks fan until the current staff in Baltimore is gone

I didn't see Lamar making a big deal out of any injury. Did anyone else? I honestly believe Lamar was pulled, maybe he was hurt but injured and hurt are not the same thing. We didn't see much of Henry after that, either. Why would both key pieces of the offense disappear at the same time?

if that's the case then why was zay in the game still?

Keep Harbaugh until the end then trade him to Seattle for Macdonald.

Genuinely feel like there’s nothing worthwhile to take from this. Shred the tape and move on.

only things worth watching are to see what the backups did in a developmental sense

how did okoye do?
how did keyon martin do?
how did TJ Tampa do?
how did Buchanan do?

etc. etc.

nothing of value from the starters except to try and diagnose and solve the OL/protection QB spy/delayed blitz issue

The latest example of "when it rains, it pours" as soon as Lamar threw that INT. This is the first game in forever where I felt like they've quit mid-game. Talk about the ultimate nightmare.

And then the injuries.......

The thing is all 3 units are getting worse. Special teams is garbage and we can't give good teams good field advantage. D looks worse and has given up 133 points in 4 games. Offense is trending downward and we keep calling stupid pass plays and 3rd and short while leaving Henry on the bench.

Just so many egregious play-calling mistakes not taking in account of player execution. The team has no fire, no fight, no chemistry. Lamar looks like he absolutely quit and didn't want to go out on that field and if he did does anyone blame him?? Why wait for the end of the season? Fire Harbs and see if we can get a spark. I rather it be now than later to see if it really is coaching holding this team back. What is the worse that can happen we continue to lose?
