Dummy accepted the invite, knowing damn well he ain’t going 1st round, just to show off his fit. This generation man…

When doing draft simulators I had Landon Jackson fall to the Ravens a lot in the second round. Here's hoping that happens in real life. Jared Wilson, the C from Georgia, would be a nice pickup. Carson Schwesinger fits the Ravens pretty well also, even if he doesn't fill a hole.

Can not believe ezeiruaku fell out of the first, that is crazy. Think he’s by far the most elite player left.

Really hope we get 2 trench players on day 2. I don’t think schwesinger falls to us, think he goes very early tonight. Round 3 might be a sweet spot to grab a guard.

Holy shit this is good

Ezeiruaku, Mike Green and Will Johnson clearly the best players remaining

I just hope that the board doesn't get cleaned out and (as EDC said it often does) different boards diverge more on day 2 and we get a lot more players taken out of sequence to let someone drop to us

Boards gonna be fucking wiped by pick 40

Asked my guy about Simmons and he got back to me overnight. He wasn’t super confident, but felt it was a combo of 3 things - long term injury concerns, not a great slide in at G candidate, and didn’t love the maturity/commitment. Sounds like they liked the football player but not what they’d potentially have to go through to get it out of him.

EDC said that despite calls, they would have picked someone else if Starks was gone rather than trading out
He also said that with a few picks left they knew they were at least gonna have a chance at 1 of 3 guys they still liked there

have to think that simmons was maybe one of those other guys they still had

and if not, we're probably looking for guys with clean evals (i.e. no red flags on the ledger) which would make me think it's donovan ezeiruaku

makes sense why they brought simmons in for a 30 visit though

Yeah based on the text, it didn’t sound like a “we hate Simmons” thing. Felt more like a clean eval vs. a spotty eval and the clean eval won out when it came to crunch time.

I can’t believe we got this guy who on paper is going to open up playing Hamilton back in the box.

We didn’t have home field advantage last year and had to play an additional game bc of how terrible our backend was before slapping Hamilton back there

You might be surprised. I think there will be a good player available by then

Doing these dang mock draft simulators, all the EDGE players I want is gone by the first 12 picks in the 2nd round.

Dono E, Mike Green, Nic Scourton, JT Samoan

Praying Scourton falls somehow. He screams Raven to me

Also can confirm that the Falcons did not jump us for Pearce. We weren't taking him. They were worried about teams behind us, and the Rams were the team willing to play ball.

I imagine we would have gotten a similar offer had the Rams not been willing to take it, and that would have been real enticing with that 2026 1st.

Wyatt Milum is someone I could see the Ravens target in the 2nd. A gritty OL with versatility and can be a day one starter.

I do like milum, feel he may be a bit undersized though for round 2. Guard length but has the girth of a finesse LT.

Everyone praising his iq. The plays I watched one thing I loved is he's communicating. For that alone I'm already hype. Didn't see missed steps. Had fluid hips and takes great angles.
