2025 NFL Draft Gameday Thread

What position will the Ravens select with their first pick in the draft?

Ehhh. Maturity/character unless it's real crime doesn't take you to 32 if you're considered the best LT or at least very close to best LT

unless they just don't think he's got the work ethic or love of the game etc. to actually be a good NFL prospect

it's a case by case, but they obviously took nate last year with some maturity issues and that's been great so far

idk who's gonna be left for us at 59 though

Josh Conerly, Josh Simmons, Aireontae Ersery and Marcus Mbow are the only guys i'd be interested in with a high pick and i can't see any of those 4 being on the board at 59...

unless they've got a massive grade on Anthony Belton (who i like but is 65th on my board)

The Minnesota kid?

this was the fear - that there would be such a massive run on OL and DL and that we'd miss out on those guys
but seems like we never had a chance at any of them

OL is a different story, but this DL class runs deep. I’m not worried about not being able to fill that hole.

for sure it's a very deep DL class

EDGE has been surprisingly left alone in R1 so i'm hoping a good one can make it to 59

but idk that there's going to be many OL left who have much of a chance of impacting this team in 2025

I don't want to see us make anywhere close to 11 picks. I hate the idea of 4 6th rounders and a 7th. But I know EDC will probably make like 9 or 10 and there won't be any serious movement up. I'm looking to be optimistic when it's all said and done, but I'm expecting to feel very lukewarm on this year's draft

I don’t think they want to use them all either, but those late picks aren’t valuable enough to constitute any significant move up. I know they hope to flip 1 or 2 into a pick next year but no guarantee anyone is going to want to bite on it.

I don't disagree. But that just makes me think this is gonna be a really weak group from an overall weak class.

It's so ravens to say more darts means more bullseyes. Its true on paper but this team needs impact players at multiple spots to be in it for a SB. You're not getting that with those last 5 maybe even 8 picks.

it's only the top of the class that's weak

it's got a strong middle

as EDC just said in his presser, the talent flattens out in this class all the way through to the 4th round before it drops off again

In any other year I might agree, but this is a fairly deep class. Not a lot of top end talent, but a lot of NFL-level players. There are likely to be role players available way late in this draft, which has not been the case in the last few. We’re starting to get some of those seniors that have gotten NIL money to stay, medical exception, etc. finally come out.

Well maybe it's actually worth trying to get an extra 4th this year. Even if it means giving up 3 picks

The trade chart isn’t everything, but to illustrate how “worthless” those late picks are…

The Ravens could trade 4.27, all four 6ths, and the 7th. And that only gets them to 4.3

Trading all of the 6ths and the 7th outright is an equivalent value of 4.28

So possible but the chances of them giving up all of that capital is slim. I think they’ll be open to trading up at times but I doubt it’ll be anything significant

That's big yikes. It's 11 picks but it's really like 4 or maybe 5
