Perriman and WR Hype

I saw Wallace say something as well.

I have been on the hype train since that catch he made that was not counted. I could not believe that he came down with that. He has ability that no receiver that wore a Raven jersey had. Where he can go get that ball nobody else could. I really hope he pans out, we need a receiver in this league that can do something with the ball when we are struggling.

For those interested, here's the quote from Zrebiec when talking about Pat Ricard: http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/...organized-team-activities-20170525-story.html Zrebiec only mentions Siragusa once, which doesn't mean he was or wasn't beat all day.

And @Sledge Hammer, does that mean we shouldn't give a damn about what you think or believe? @Sami84 just wanted to know where you were getting your information from and you haven't posted a source where you heard Siragusa was beaten like a drum.

That is cuz when I research a players progress I don't really keep track of who made what comments UNLESS it's conflicting. I don't believe it was zrbiec. It was more about the Rookie playing well being talked about than Siragusa

All of this talk is stories. All the way to Perrimans play.you can say it is a story!! We could say. Wow he got open in no contact. And what is pitta supposed to do?? Say it is only ota and he needs to prove it this preseason?? Until the games it's all stories. Take from it all what you want.

Being modest about another player and going out on a limb to label his performance the best in camp are 2 very different things.

Also, pulling a story out of thin air and discussing a story with cited sources are 2 different things as well

Zrebiec was talking about how Ricard was showing promise and happened to mention Siragusa's name in the article I quoted. Are you sure that wasn't what you were referring to?

It's always going to be a story if a player is doing well or not, even when the games start. Perriman needs the practice, especially after missing most of the off season for the past 2 years. It's promising if he's doing well now, and he'll have to build on it heading into training camp and preseason.

At the risk of further derailing this thread, I'm only going to say this once. If you don't care about what others say on the Internet because you don't know them, then we shouldn't care about what you think either. Because guess what, you're just a guy behind a screen too.

I hope Perriman has a career year and builds on it for years to come. Let's get hyped.

I hope so for Perriman's sake. I hate the backlash he has always gotten. He got better each game he played last year.

I'm rooting him for him big time.

To many to pinpoint sometimes. May even of been the fan I heard it. Like I said no point cuz I'm sure it will be talked about again. The Siragusa thing. BTW I liked Siragusa y would I lie about him getting beat?? When I heard that I was like great this is wonderful the most pro ready lineman we drafted is a bust. Anyways our Oline is looking like

Stanley Siragusa/Eluemunor Jensen Yanda Lewis
Stanley Jensen Urschel Yanda Lewis

Jensen got his 2015 size back. Urschel needs to do the same. In 2015 he was 315-320. Last year he was about 300 and to lean for an interior offensive lineman

Back to Perriman. I didn't like him in round1. I was first on forum to say somebody may draft him in round1/ early2. He was a mid rounder at time I think. However I didn't like him that early. And I don't like his routes. However I root for him and like his skills at the catch point. As I do Siragusa Jensen and Eluemunor. The offense runs through the offensive lineman.

and thats fine. I've never attacked you for having an OPINION.
You know how i feel about perriman. Both here and of course on BR.com

Let me assure you of something. Be it a first rounder or an UDFA. They get beat during training camps at some point. Also, what fan? they don't see OTA's. These practices are not even public and are actually very controlled.

You do realize you can admit that you're lying. It actually could be a start of therapy that can help you. I said there was only 1 instance where there was any PROOF of him getting beat (by 1 UDFA on 1 play). That is verifiable and provable.

it's like the wormley thing..
No fans where there BTW. Fans aren't allowed to just walk into UA center and watch.

Then why didn't you say that originally? Why is the source changing?
Anyhow, I don't care.

I only care about the real season.
Btw in the last 2 seasons in college, Siragusa didn't give up a single sack.
thats not speculation, that's a fact.

OL Nico Siragusa, Sr., San Diego State...Siragusa, the first San Diego State offensive lineman to be named a first-team all-MW selection twice in league history, has started all 12 games at left guard, ranking as the fifth-best guard by Pro Football Focus and the third-best run blocker. Additionally he is the highest-rated offensive lineman on an Aztec unit that has produced 14 100-yard rushing games by three different backs this year. Siragusa has helped SDSU rush for a school-record 3,311 yards with still two games to go. He has not allowed a sack or a quarterback hit in 778 snaps on the season. - San Diego State Football
12/30/15 - 2015 ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST FIRST TEAM (COACHES/MEDIA): OL Nico Siragusa, Jr., San Diego State...Nico Siragusa and Pearce Slater each made all-conference for the first time of their careers, both making the first team. It is the first time in MW history that the Aztecs had two first-teamers on the offensive line and the first time in any league since 1998 (WAC - Pacific Division). Siragusa (left guard) and Slater (right tackle) helped solidify a team that started the season with three new starters on the offensive line. The duo anchors a team that ranks sixth in the nation in red zone offense (93.3 pct.), 15th in rushing yards per game (235.5) and 23rd in time of possession (32:36). A team captain, Slater allowed just four sacks in 233 dropbacks (0.2 pct.) and had 40 knockdowns on the year (only numbers for first 10 games were included). On the other side, Siragusa has not allowed a sack in 233 dropbacks (0.0 pct.) and recorded 33 knockdowns through the first 10 games of the year. - San Diego State Football

I think we'll find out pretty quickly if the Perriman hype is legitimate or not. His main problems have been concentration drops and poor routes. Those are definitely correctable and we should be able to see how much progress he's made during the preseason.

for me, it wasn't so much concentration drops more than it's being stripped when he's made the catch.

He did have a few concentration drops. I remember a select few where he was wide open on intermediate crossing routes and they bounced right off his hands.

However I don't recall him dropping many of those tough contested balls. He got undertrown against Haden, was about an inch wide on the second foot against Norman, but for most of those he was able to bring them down, at least as far as I can remember.

I think concentration drops will continue to be an issue but I think he will make up for it in other ways
