2025 DL Thread

Joshua Farmer has a ton of upside. Very explosive, and plays nasty. Absolutely needs his technique worked on, but easily could become a solid interior pass rusher.

Alfred Collins looks like a young Calias Campbell. The guy is just so long and strong it's insane. You'll see plays of him brute forcing his way through a double team and still getting pressure on the QB.

Now that Pierce has retired, it's Alfred Collins or Jamaree Caldwell for me as a replacement
Jordan Phillips would be a good NT replacement as well. Not much of a pass rusher, but he controls the line of scrimmage, and does the dirty work to help others.

Right ! I didn't bother watching him because I didn't think we'd need a player of that archetype but I'll look into him

i think he's got tons of pass rush upside that projects really easily
he's explosive and long with some quick twitch

im a big fan of phillips - think he'd be a great fit here too

clearly the front office agreed given how they were trying to swing a trade for calais campbell

and it's a really good looking class at DL so far

I really like Walter Nolen - in fact one of the first players in this class who properly drew my attention when i was watching
I'm currently doing a mock draft on RSR and was able to draft him at 29 with the Commanders. He took an insane fall

the tape and the talent says he should be easily a top 15 player in this class
there's been murmurings about some texas a&m coaches questioning his work ethic/attitude before he transferred to ole miss but i have no other explanation for why he's consistently thought of so low

I like Graham better, but feel Nolan has the highest upside. He's young and he's just scratching the surface

i was thinking about that too - dude's an athlete

i'd rather have pat but this would be a decent project if it doesnt work out
I just saw some highlights of him and Edgar Allen Film Study was talking about him. I think if the ravens drafted him its possible they could use him like they did with Pernell Mcphee . I think he legit could transition to outside linebacker

Jordan Phillips looks like a really good rotational piece. A huge nose tackle with heavy hands, and a surprising burst off the line. He's the type that won't get many stats, but make the whole defense better when he's on the field.

Agreed, and I'm curious if he'd have a bigger output as a pass rusher if he weren't so consistently used at the nose. I believe that Phillips could make for one of the best values at this position if taken where he's projected.

A late discovery on my end, but I'm very intrigued by Davin Vann out of NC State. His testing numbers were off the charts among his peers, but there is a caveat in that it's generous to list him as a defensive tackle. They're less impressive for a tweener. At 270, he feels better used as an inside-out 5T, akin to Michael Bennett from his Seattle years. But that is where I feel like he could contribute his best work. There is perpetual motion and violence to his contact, as he consistently leans through each engagement. I think he'd be valuable to any team that uses a spinner LB or a versatile SAM that can rush the passer. And when he connects with the ball carrier, it's a wrap. 6 forced fumbles this year for the school record.
