Next Up: vs Steelers (Wild Card Round)

What I've taken away from this season is yes the run game is great but it has been stifled quite a few times. If it's snowing and without Zay that takes an element away that allows Pittsburgh to stack the box with an extra guy more often. While this o-line has improved, they still get overpowered quite a bit. I really can see a lot of 3 and outs and punts in this game.
Last week offense actually performed better without Zay. I think you must have the stealers heeby jeebies. lol

I don’t know much about refs but I know some here care about it. Anyone have opinions on the guy reffing out game?

Just a quick search finds that he and his crew called the most offensive holding penalties this season. As long as he calls it both ways shouldn't matter, but we've often seen the stealers get zebra help in these games.

Yeah we seemingly started the season that way and then pulled back with all of the secondary issues. Seems Orr has gotten to a point over the last few weeks where he feels comfortable calling those again.

Watching an ILB plow into a pile just to free someone else up has been a staple (and very enjoyable to watch).

also with the LB changes in personnel too

none of them are quite PQ blitzing to be the pick for a looper - was really hoping trenton could be that guy but clearly not

That doesn't make sense. They've been frauds for a decade, no playoff wins for that long makes Tomlin a shit coach.
If you think Mike Tomlin is a fraud you don’t know ball. I hate the Steelers , but the man is a great coach

I mentioned this before but they (steelers fan base) basically view Tomlin as some of us view Harbs. Good/great coaches but way past the time for them to go.
The argument can be made Harbs has had more recent success. So, at the moment he's better.

Neither one is an offensive genius. They're both from an older ish era. They're both good. They both probably don't hinder you from winning a SB if you have an elite QB. In 2025, neither is gonna raise a nonelite QB to a Lombardi.

Trying to think of a coach that has, other than Bryan Billick.

He has the aura and says the right things no doubt, but 5 playoff wins in 15 years ain't so great.
The fact the Steelers were even in the playoffs or achieving winning seasons is a minor miracle based on their Qb play the past 5 years

I agree and overall we give harbs to much grief BUT he is blessed with arguably the best QB ever to play the game and still coming up short so I give him far less slack than Tomlin

Almost forgot to update my Lock Screen a year later

The Ravens have made the playoffs every year since 2018, AFCN Champs 4 of the 7. His teams have been winners. And I think you would agree that Lamar hasn't consistently played at a "best QB ever" level in the post season. Not saying Harbs doesn't share some of the blame, especially last year, but I would hardly place blame solely on him for not excelling in the tournament in the LJ era.

Apparently Vegas has us equal odds to beat the Steelers as the Bills have to beat the Broncos

Edit: apparently we’re actually 1 point more favorited
